Sorry if this is common knowledge. But if you call at the 180+10 do you usually get the restraunts that you want? What is everyones experience with this? I am scared that I will call and all of my picks will not be able to happen , and if so then having to rethink everything? And How patient are the people when you call? TIA to all Jenketeer

honestly, i don't think you have to worry about it, even at 180 days, even at 160, in most cases.

It depends on your time of year for travel and if you want the "big demand" places to eat. Le Cellier and maybe a couple of others good luck any time of year. If you really want to eat there start with Le Celler and check every day untill you can get in, or try for lunch. CRT isnt as bad to get as it used to be. CRT has limited tables open before 180 (for the +10) they open more on the exact 180 day mark.

I got what I wanted except a good CRT time with the 180 +10, Le Cellier it took me asking for it on 4 days before they had a decent opening that I wanted. (We cannot eat at 8pm w/ dd, she would be wide awake at midnight still from dessert) We like to eat around 5:30 to 6ish, so that limits our times. Keep your mind open, go first for the busy ones you really want and fill in the rest from there. The Cms are usually really great and used to all of us dis planners.

We call around the 180 day out mark and always get every ADR we want with no problem!

All of the family, adult kids and of course all of the grandkids will be at Disney this Christmas/New Years week for the first time ever at BWV in a GV. I'm paying for everybodies dinner every night, and all the other meals are on them. Everybody got to choose where the family ate at one night. I was very worried because of the Christmas season that getting specific times and nights ADR's for TS restraunts would be difficult to get. June 29, was our 180+10 days out calling point. I called right when Disney Dining opened and to my surprise, I got every single TS ADR I wanted and at the time we wanted it. Some of the family wanted to eat at CP for breakfast the morning after arrival and I got the ADR for it with no problem.

I called 3 months out (90 days) from our free dining trip of 6 adults last year and got EVERY single reservation we wanted without a problem. I even added and changed a few the week before!

I think the anxiety about booking 180 days out is highly overdone. It's wise to make reservations but unless you're going Xmas Day, it's not a huge deal to do it 180 days out.

This info is helpful for me too, since we'll be going in February:cool1: !
Also, with the 180+10: do you have to have your hotel reservation made so that you can go past your 180th day? My DH and I are using some money that may not get to us by August (when I need to book my ADR's), and don't have our hotel booked yet (planning on staying at POR). I'm just curious as to how all this works!

When I did the 180 + 10 thing for our upcoming trip they did ask for my resort confirmation number. So you might need that to do this. That said, as others have stated, even at just 180 days out from your last day, you will be fine with maybe just one or two exceptions, namely CRT and Le Cellier. But I believe they don't release all the CRT slots at the same time so that offsite people who cannot do the 190 days thing can get a shot. Oh, and I got everything I wanted at 180+10. And then I called about three months later to change a few things and got everything I wanted then as well.
