18 take on the World for Birthday surprises, some first times and a lot of fun!!

I would say 45 mins to an hour. You know how parking can be you can be. I would almost say valet at GF and take the monorail to MK that way you don't have to worry about TTC and parking there which can be a nightmare.

Hmm ok that sounds like a good idea .. how much does it cost Jillian? We have 3 cars .. Sounds better than fighting with traffic etc plus if we pay valet it means we don't pay to park so it could work out ok anyway

Ooh also what's TTC?? Hahhahahahahha sorry :rotfl:

Thanks :thumbsup2

I believe it is 12 to valet which is the same as MK

TTC= ticket and transportation center. You must park here to get to MK. It is a pain. I think anyway.

My thing with Valet is you can park and leave and return it's the same price for 1 FULL day. So you can park the cars eat hop on the monorail and then to MK. Then you can take the monorail back and use the valet or take the bus to DTD which ever is easier for everyone.

OOh Jillian that sounds perfect thankyou so much for that, that is clearly a much better idea than fighting through hahahha :)

And we're ok to valet even though we're not staying onsite??

Great to see you here thanks
We have a big 7 bedroom villa in Emerald island resort looks great lovely big pool and a games room .. is nice and big and with that many people thank goodness hahhaha
The first time i took my daughter there were 6 of us then 2 years later 7 of us then 2008 there were 16 of us we just get bigger each time :lmao:
I'm lucky that everyone just does what i say when it comes to all things Disney hahaha i do all research and booking and everyone says yay or nay to each thing but normally yay :)
The kids are the easy ones to plan for although i've never taken a baby so this will be a first for that as he's only just 7 months

Is it all family you will be going with?

Just tell them you are dining there. There is no problem with it at all.

We did this last March we ate at Chef Mickey's and then took the monorail to MK I think if memory serves me we walked back? It was a very short walk.

ERIN.....

Wooo-hoo:woohoo: -we are staying at the VERY SAME Emerald Island Resort in October. You will have to make LOTS of notes and take LOADS of pictures for me!! Pretty pretty please....... Will be nice to know how long it REALLY takes to get to the parks...:goodvibes Did you stay there before?

I totally agree! Monorail from GF to MK, then I would bus to DTD and then bus back to GF to pick up your car. I wouldn't pay for valet though...... you are getting there early enough and when we drove there and parked, it's very simple and not too far of a walk to get to resort......

It will be all family and adopted family lol My parents neighbors are like her 2nd kids and grandkids, and we are hopeing they will be able to join us next year. We've never been able to get our trips to coincide, but I hopeing for next year at christmas. The villa sounds nice, but we will probubly stay on site. Mom and Dad have a timeshare they can transfer in (fingers crossed we can get BLT or Treehouse villas), and our adopted family wants to stay at wilderness lodge cabins. Can't wait to read more about your trip!!!

No we haven't stayed there before but last time we went we stayed pretty much opposite over the road in Formosa Gardens and we found a back way to Disney property .. the people we're renting from this time have told us about the same back way, if is the same one and it works i'll email it to you. And will take pics and show you how lovely it is :)

Fab thanks .. Would we not get in trouble parking there all day and not paying? If it's the same as the park then it's not a problem

I love the cake! Your trip is getting so close, Erin - I'm excited for you!
AQ - yes, I remember now - looked it up and it looked awesome! :cool1:

OMG my ticker says 4 but as it's 8.20 in the evening here am gonna go with
3 DAYS TO GO

So what have i done
All packed except last few things to get out of the washing
Had a fight with B.A ... Grggrgrgrgr ... Phoned up to book seats and they seemed to have split our group up even though they told us they wouldn't so of course i fought it and did NOT let it drop and thankfully they sorted it!!
Now to decide whether to book kids meals on board the flight or not?? I can't find info on what they would get instead so am searching for that

Going to book the slipper for DD's b'day tonight
Just saw pics on here of breakfast in 1900 Park Fare and now i cannot wait hahhaha

Anybody think of anything i have forgotten??? :rotfl::rotfl:

All I can say is good luck getting to sleep for the next couple nights lol!!! That's good that you will all be sitting together... I definetly would have fought that one as well. Can't wait to read your Tr and incase I don't get to tell you before you leave have a great trip!!!

So exciting! It seems like about 2 weeks ago you decided to do this trip, and now you're almost leaving!!!! :cool1: If I don't catch you - have a wonderful time, and don't forget your tickets! :goodvibes

Hiya,

only thing I would do is photocopy EVERYTHING!! Passports /driving licenses/ travel docs etc and make sure someone else in the party carries the photocopy. you never ever know - my dad had a road accident in France once -lost passports etc in the faffing about, but he had a photocopy and got a new passport SOOO much more easily.

Also if you have a copy of any Disney tickets, they will replace them if they get lost/put in the washing machine:rolleyes1/eaten by alligators as you lean over the pit at gatorland.....:eek:/whatever....

Looks like the clubhouse has an internet cafe too - so you could email yourself any details - if you know what I mean? Sorry - I am SUCH a worry wart....

Have LOADS of fun Erin - I remember being at this stage last time - and my tummy is doing flip-flops just THINKING about it. Can't WAIT to read about your adventures!

Tessa

Hi Erin,

Wow, the time sure went by fast!! You will be on that plane before you know it. It is 7 days and counting here for us and there is endless chatter around our house about the trip. I hope you guys have a great time and maybe I will see you there!

Have a safe trip and Have Fun!!!
Lisa

Anybody think of anything i have forgotten??? :rotfl::rotfl:

Don't forget Chloe..... :rotfl2:

I have your number and I will text you!!! It looks like we should be able to meet up on Feb 13th? That was the day you were going to be at MK or Epcot, right?

I am sooooo exited for you! Do take lots of photos. Tessa love the idea of the photo copies. I'm guessing if I scanned and emailed them to myseld that would work too.

The cake looks great! and yummy!

have a great time!
