We're taking the whole family in Oct...the two older kids are are old hat now, but I've never taken a child younger than 3 years old before! How is it with an 18 month old? Any tips for us??? Thanks! :wizard:

Go back to the hotel for naps... Unless it's too far then let em nap in the stroller.

On another note.... Your signature makes me sad!
:littleangel: <- does that mean what I think it means?

Both of my kids have gone at 18 months and I thought it was a great age to travel with them. They both would just pass out in the stroller whenever they were tired. They loved all the things to look at there, but weren't old enough to be scared of any of it. Except Goofy, my youngest was terrified of Goofy... Other than that though, he enjoyed all the rides and parades and most of the characters. :)

We took my DD just after turning 2 and she had a blast. Just make sure to go at his pace, take naps, get hydrated and have snacks on hand. Maybe even a small something if you need to whip it out in a line. I'd start showing him some of the rides on youtube too so he can get familiar with them. You are going to have a great trip!!

My boys had their first visit at 15 months and they loved it. We went back to the hotel for a nap the first day but they didn't nap, so the other days they just napped in the stroller and that worked much better :) They were fascinated by the parades at that age :)

I'm so excited now! I hope she naps okay in the stroller...she's never done that before, although she will sleep in her carseat in the car, so maybe! We'll have me, dad, and grandma there though, so if not, someone will be able to take her back to the hotel for a nap.

So can you basically go on any ride without a height requirement? Even Splash Mountain? That seems a bit scary to me!!

Crazy Duck...yes, it does. Our little boy died almost two years ago. He was born with a genetic disease that affected his liver and died while waiting for a liver transplant. :( So he's our angel baby.

pinktink,
Splash has a height requirement. You will love taking your 18 month old. Not as easy as babies, but so much fun. Just bring your basics as you would anywhere in your stroller and you will be set.
I am very sorry, about the loss of your son.
