hi, staying onsite, does anyone know which park has early entry next week 17th October, if ioa is it worth doing for kong, if universal is it worth going there and getharry potter train over, are the lines long for kong this time of year, thanks in advance

USF has the Early Park Entry next week - https://www.universalorlando.com/Resort-Information/Early-Park-Admission.aspx

Someone else can better answer the Kong questions as I've not been there since it opened, but it does look like the standby queue for Kong gets pretty long throughout the day. Just looking at the app, it frequently shows as the longest wait in IOA.

Other threads on this board say the Express line goes pretty quick, though.

Yes it does, we used EP as it was 5 minutes at most. Lines were 30-45 minutes for regular line.

Regular line was over an hour a few times, but we still more or less walked on. Only one time we waited longer but they had an issue and lost a couple of ride vehicles. But, still it was a very short wait in comparison to regular line.
