179 days away is the hardest!!

226 days to go here, all I want is the November schedule!

I believe the worst part for a planner is waiting for the park hours to be released. Sure I can make a pre-schedule but until I know for sure when EMH will be, planning is a pita because you don't know for sure when you'll be at each park.

Some things to distract you:

1) Watch one Disney movie a day once as you get closer to get you hyped up

2) Play Disney trivia games, Disney Scene It, or Disney's Think Fast video game...that'll get you in the spirit too.

I'm at 190+ and know how you feel when day 179 hits...but you have mailings, plane reservations, and FP+ to look forward to now!

PLUS, you have the DISBOARDS too!!!

Agreed on how the lull period in planning sort of sucks. I've got 2 days until I can do my FP+ selections and then we are on the downhill slide!!!
Although when we leave WDW we always know we are coming back, we never plan a trip 400 days out..I can't imagine counting down that many days. lol!!

Our 180 day mark is next week on the 26th...which is the day we'll be driving from NC to NY. We were planning on leaving at 7am, but NOW I have to time our departure so I can be IN the car and uninterrupted while making ADR's. And the bummer is that the route we're taking is through the mountains with CRAPTACULAR coverage so I can't even use the app! I'll have to get on the phone.

I wish we didn't have to wait that long! It's actually going to be one and a half years since our last trip by the time we go. Our last two trips were almost exactly a year apart. That extra 6 months doesn't seem like much but it IS!

We were originally going to go in the fall again but wanted to stay for 10 days vs 7, and couldn't justify taking the kids out of school that long during the fall. So we are going NEXT May. It would have been awesome to go THIS May, but money....

I'm 33 days out. Everything was booked: ADRs, FP+, tours, etc. TouringPlans plans created and tweaked. MagicBands will be sent out Wednesday. But, then the "Anna and Elsa are moving to MK" thing exploded and wreaked higgledy-piggledy on everything. So now I'm cancelling my Akershus breakfast, re-doing FP+es, and re-doing my TouringPlans.

I'm not that upset about it, frankly. Gives me more to plan. :)

just wondering (for my own plans) how this will affect anything?

Please advise . . . :)

Well, we had the Akershus breakfast ADR on 4/26 to get into the Anna and Elsa line before the "Dad's Run." Don't need that anymore, and, in fact, I have no idea how we'll spend that morning - Epcot may not even be where we start. Instead, I rearranged my FP+ for 4/22 (our first MK day). I'd had, I think, Space Mountain at 3:00, Rapunzel at 6:00, and Haunted Mansion at 7:00. I changed Haunted Mansion to A&E at 9:05 am. It's an EMH morning, though. So I'm really second-guessing myself about my rope drop plans, and wondering what things I'd planned for the morning of 4/22 that I won't be able to do because of A&E. Given that that's the first week A&E will be at the MK, there just won't be enough data to know what the best course of action will be. Fortunately, we have some time flexibility, and plenty of time in the MK. So I hope we'll be able to do everything.

This!!! Totally dying for October hours to come out. I'm 198 days away from my trip but ADR's are coming soon! I just want the hours to be posted so I can have some time to plan.

109 days to go! Yay! But waiting VERY impatiently for my TA to get back to me so we can upgrade the room with the summer discount...

I totally agree! I helped my friend book his ADRs for his first trip. When done, I told him now the hard part... time to just wait.

However, I just booked our next trip for February 2015. Guess when my 180 days falls? Our SECOND day there during our 7-day August trip! For the first time (in forever... ;) ) I'll actually be there booking my ADRs for the next trip. It will be the happiest "179 days..." ever!

Of course, I'll keep it going since we go every August and the next 180 days will be while we're there in February!

Solved!

These are great ideas. Thanks!!! We also talked about reading about one ride in our Disney planning book every day.

since there are loads of us OCD'er and Anal types here, :grouphug:

this is the :hourglass time of the second guessing right up the day we leave time.

I actually hate this. AND, March 25th, it will be my march to madness over Mickey Mouse.
:crazy2:

I can definitely feel the pain of the 100 day + waits left for lots of you...I have been there...Right now I am sitting at 7...A week from today and I will be at Disney, in the warm Florida sunshine, and out of this cold cold weather! I can't decide which is worse 100's of days to go or the final week...especially when you are a teacher with 4 days left to go before spring break and your kiddos are as ready for the break as you are!!!!!

I thought I had figured out this waiting thing. I was recently promoted and the new position requires lots of travel and OT, plenty to keep me busy right? :sad2:Nope not even close, I'm sitting here in my hotel room reading on the Dis :rotfl: Proof positive that I can obsess from anywhere :thumbsup2

I really like the movie idea, I think we can cover quite a few of the major ones between now and time to go.
