You plan the trip. You plan the meals. The 180 day mark gets here and you make the reservations. Then you are in the "Disney" mode. Now we wait...

I dunno, 435 days away sucks pretty hard!

I do remember how OBSESSED I get at that 180 day mark though. Over analyzing every day and ADR.

We were over 400 at one stage...now we are less than 100 and counting down!!! next stop fp+ in 38 days!!!:):)

I am 155 days out and I just keep rethinking my choices to pass the time. Haven't changed anything yet but it keeps me entertained.

136 sucks too! Waiting and waiting! Although I have to admit over 400 sounds worse!

Now you begin the 119 day wait to book FPs.

153 days until our two week trip this year :( Luckily, to help with the long wait, we decided to drive down fro m NJ for a four day weekend, and hit Star Wars Weekends! That is definitely helping!!

I go through so many stages while planning! The oringinal planning stages are fun and kind hectic, then the adr day comes & goes and then it's kinda "what now?" sometimes I'll write a PTR, sometimes I'll kinda just forget about it, and the "AH" stage comes back when it comes closer to and I actually have to start thinking about packing and such!

We booked this upcoming trip just under 400 days out and I agree, it's a long time. The first 200 days were actually fine as it was a distant plan, and life just went on, but I agree with the OP, when you hit that first milestone at 180 it draws your attention to the trip and 179 is a lot of days to count. I was lucky as my 180 fell just before Christmas and the first 8 weeks of this year were pretty crazy so it served as a distraction, but the last 2 weeks have been painfully slow in terms of the countdown.

What's a PTR?

We get to make ADRs tonight at midnight! Can't wait. My fiancee and I have been working on the game plan for a while now.

As far as the wait, Knowing our wedding and honeymoon are only 180 days away is an amazing feeling that it's getting close, BUT I think of 180 days ago when we booked the reservation. That seems so long ago and so much has happened and changed. Gosh, this is going to take forever.:sad1:

190 days isn't so fun either.. Can't do any reservations for another 10 days but have already booked the room, tickets, etc.. That and checking the airline tickets to see if we can get a good deal from Indianapolis to Orlando. Right now there are just early flights available for the trip home which does not suit us well. :)

I think I have been misinformed, so is it actually 6:00 AM on the 180 day mark that you can make ADRs?

The best deal for us was Allegiant by far (we've flown with them before with a good experience.) I don't know about if they fly from Indy or about times though.

Allegiant doesn't fly out of Indianapolis that I know of. It's either Southwest or AirTran. We normally fly Airtran and book through the Disney site while making our vacation but last year (Nov. 2013) Southwest was cheaper buy about $150 per person round trip. Funny thing is we flew out on an Airtran plane since Southwest and Airtran merged. Allegiant does fly out of South Bend, IN though which is a possible fly out spot for us. The limited flights from Allegiant (Only fly into South Bend on Wednesdays and Fridays and flights leave at 8 am only) is what kind of turns us off to them too. We like to fly in early on a Saturday and fly out later the following Saturday. Spend as much time at the World as possible since we normally only get to use 1 week of our 2 weeks of vacation each year.

My wife and I have "high demand" :rolleyes1 jobs so they usually have to pay us for our 2nd week of vacation each year. lol.
