$1700 DL photography experience!!!

Wow. Just, wow. Our whole family (5 above age 3) can get 4 day hoppers for that price. And 3 nights in a good neighbor hotel for the character add-on. Who -is- their target market? Plus, park admission is not included... That would be super cool, though.

YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!! Who do they think their fans are? A full trip or the very least a hotel (albeit OFFSITE hotel) can cost you that much. THAT IS OUTRAGEOUS PRICE.

I would say that this is somewhat comparable to the prices they charge for wedding photo packages. In their defense, it would seem they are opening up unique chances for photo ops to those who can afford it. I really have no problem with that. I'm guessing people ask about it all the time. It would be bad business not to at least offer something. There will always be opportunity in life for those with too much money to spend it. I'm ok with the regular people experience that includes the building anticipation that comes with waiting in line to see that one special character, the joy when you get a few seconds of time, candids and autograph.

That's not actually outrageous for what you're getting. That's a professional photographer, probably an assistant, retouching and processing... and of course the Disney mark up for the location, but it's a high-end luxury shoot. It's not for me, but it will get plenty of takers, I imagine.

We had a Disney Fairy Tale wedding. Our photographer, a Disney one, cost us $1500, included pre wedding shoot at GF and the wedding pavilion, ceremony shots, and reception shots. Total, about 5 hours. INCLUDED all our proofs (over 250 of them), and a gorgeous leather bound album with about 50 prints in it. $1500.

This price is WAY inflated.

This is not designed for you and me. They can only do one per day in each park...so I am willing to bet there are 2 out of 50,000+ visitors per day that CAN afford this if they see value in it.
