168 minute wait time ?’

I just called DCL to fix something And I was told 168 minutes wait time. What’s going on today

They will also be shutting down the booking system for maintenance in a couple days so people trying to get things done before that happens.

I called at 2:00 this afternoon and was told a 426 minute wait time. I laughed out loud! I'm old. I don't know if I have 426 minutes left! Hahahahahaha!

I called a few days ago and got a 91 minute wait FWIW, which was dead on. Seems its always busy now.

I called a few different times last week and thought I'd have a long wait time. Waited less than 10 mins both times. I always want to watch the movie to whatever music I just listened to while on hold. Why is it always Lion King and Mary Poppins?!

Just tried calling a few minutes ago and after all of the preamble recordings was told 82 minutes. Not that urgent. (I do wish they would offer the ability to enter your phone number and have them call you back instead of leaving it on speakerphone for that long.)

Why on earth do they have a system that requires phone calls? Someone needs to tell Disney it is 2022 and using a phone is not needed if they upgraded their website.

When I called in around mid February, I called about 90 minutes before they close, quoted wait time was 42 minutes, my call was finally answered after 59 minutes.

It’s the same for all cruise lines. Disney is the only one I know of that lets you change your stateroom online. Carnival will let you cancel online, but that’s it.

I am more surprised at how specific it is. Here in the Netherlands when it is busy callcenters have a tape that says, 'the current wait is longer than 30 minutes, we ask you to call back at a later time'.

And I agree, most transport companies have the ability to make most changes and cancellations online. The cruise industry is getting behind.

Took me 3 phone calls last week to book a cruise with DCL. First call was over 2 hour wait so I hung up. Next I called at 8:20 pm and was told a 90 minute hold. Waited with speakerphone on and at 10:00 pm they still did not pick up and I was tired so went to bed. I know they close at 10:00 pm during the week. Next morning I called at 8:00 am when they opened and got through right away.

They are mostly working from home which is fine but I think they need way more people working.

Wow OP here. I thought when I posted my time to start the thread it was something out of the ordinary. I guess I must’ve been lucky every other time I got through relatively fast ( 30 min) . I just have a minor stupid thing to take care of. Weeks ago I showed .02 remaining balance after I PIF. Took care of that over the phone weeks ago and it’s still showing.

We waited 3 hours last night, 6:30-9:30. In the end they were very helpful, but that was painful!
