Hi
Think I might have to book two as there is 6 of us the oldest child is 16 and I'm sure she won't wanna share room at cabins with 3 & 5 year old but I was thinking of putting 11 year old in with her. Would they allow her in room I was hoping for connecting but I no that there is no guarantee x

Have you thought a 2 bed or even 1 bed villa at OKw or SSR? That might just solve your probs and probably be cheaper than 2 separate rooms?

I might be wrong but it would be worth investigating? Alternatively if you are happy to be off site you could get a large villa for less money?

I believe the minimum age for room occupancy is 18. I would check first, but you may need to put one of the adults in with her

Or tell them there will be an adult in there. If they're right next door I can't see the harm.

We've done this several times as ours became teenagers (connecting rooms). I was prepared to 'fib' and say one of the adults would sleep in each room; but I was never actually asked. Felt very secure doing it - and my DD is a very nervous sort:) To be honest we left the door open most of the time so it felt more like a suite anyway.

There is no harm as long as
1. They are able to give you connecting rooms (which cannot be 100% guaranteed) and
2. As long as there is no 'emergency', heaven forbid.

I don't have an issue in principle with making your own assessments of appropriateness for our children as we all know, not every child's level of responsibility is the same as the next at any given age. I assumed the OP was asking what was 'allowed' not what they may be 'caught' doing ;)

Sorry, what I was trying to say was that if you get connecting rooms (which is highly likely as majority do) then they don't even ask the sleeping arrangements - so I assumed they're not that concerned. If we hadn't got connecting rooms (or at least next door ones) we would have probably slept 1 adult/1child. or I wouldn't have slept for worrying!! :goodvibes

No worries this year as at OKW-altough both will be 18 by the time we go anyway:thumbsup2

Is that the cabins at Fort Wilderness? I am no expert and haven't stayed there but aren't they individual units that don't connect?
If it's normal hotel style rooms then I wouldn't think it would be a problem having the two rooms.

They are individual units and personally I don't think that the bedroom is big enough for 3 people. When we stayed there our DDs were 3 and 6 and it was just right for the two of them. There isn't a lot of storage space in the bedroom so we kept stuff in one of the suitcases and left it on the bed.
