16 Days of Disney Dining - Yummy

We had planned on going to Columbia house and headed over there at 11 to eat lunch. DH was not impressed by the menu and wanted to go somewhere else so we figured go to the next closest one so we headed to Peco bills. Dh ordered the deluxe cheeseburger and like it alot he did not get the onions on it though. I ordered the taco salad and really enjoyed the topping bar.My taco salad was very good. The shell was yummy. It was clean and cool (temp) inside. The kids all got hamburgers and enjoyed them too. We would do peco bills agin.

We got to Crystal Palace about 20 minutes late and this place is popular so we expected a wait. When we got there, there was a line. We did get seated within 15 minutes so that was not to bad. This is one of our favorites. The characters are great. It was pooh, tigger, eyore, and piglet. The signed our bookes , took pics, and played around a little with the kids. No matter how busy they never act rushed which is nice. The food is a buffet. It is nothing amazing, but good and lots of choices. The carving station meat was very good. there were a couple of things that were great and others that are just ok. The service was not good. What is funny is that everytime we have gone to Crystal Palace a child has broken a plate. not one of our kids, but we have always seen it happen. I think its because how it is setup. This will still be a must do for us. DH did not think this meal would be fun because he said it was kiddie characters, but he had fun with pooh and was all smiles during this meal.

Reading this got me thinking about 1900 Park Faire at GF; everytime we have gone, some poor child (and please forgive me ahead of time for putting this image in your heads) inevitably throws up from the Strawberry Soup!

Not the same as breaking plates, I know...

Wow! Lots of reviews! Thanks for sharing and looking forward to the rest! :thumbsup2

Ressie was for 9:50am got there at 10:10am and had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated. There were 2 adults and 5 kids. It was a standard breakfast buffet. It was very good though. The restaurant was full but the characters did not rush. We saw Minnie, Goofy, and Donald. The ervice was good. I don't think it is any better or worse than chef mickeys. If you are not using your car though the transportation to get there is a little much. I dont think I would go again using disney buses.

We had lunch around 1:30. The kids all got cheese pizzas. DH got a double bacon cheeseburger which he says was pretty much the same as any fast food burger. he loved the fries. I got a chicken wrap which was good, but pretty sure it was processed chicken. It was very filling and the fries were very good. It was pretty packed here but we did get a table out of the sun.

It was around 7:30 when we got hungry for dinner so we decided to get take out from Mara. We got a Mara chicken salad which I loved. It was fantastic. I was very surprised. It was fresh and a good mix of ingredients. DH got the turkey chiabatta he was not crazy about it because it had to many things in it. He said its not for a picky eater. I had a bite and it was very good. The kids got chicken nuggets and pizzas. They all liked their food.

We always go to Cosmic Rays when at MK. It is always decent. I got a chicken wrap and it was yummy. DH got a steak cheese wrap and really liked it. My sister joined us today and got a salad, I do not remember which one. The kids had chicken and hamburgers. They do al ittle show here which the kids like.

Chef mickeys is another place that we goto every trip. We have done dinner and breakfast. Our ressie was for 6:45 we got there at 6:30 and were seated in about 10 minutes. We were 3 adults and 4 kids for this one. We got to see Donald, Goofy, Mickey, and Pluto. Minnie might have been there too. the food was good. Our server was nice and got a character to come to the table and sing happy birthday to the kids. Someone had gotten sick or dropped something on the floor next to our table it sat there for about 15-20 minutes before someone came and cleaned it up. They just a sign next to it.
The food was good. The kids love the sundae station here. The contemporary is a nice hotel to look around. It is also convenient to get too.

lunch at Mama Melrose

dinner at 50's Prime Time Cafe

our ressie was for 12:50 but we were hot and hungry so went the right at 12 and got seated at 12:10. We always wanted to try Mama melrose, but have always hesitated because of the reviews. I am very glad we tried it. It was very good. The inside is very cute and comfy. Our service was just ok. The food was very good though. It is like an olive Garden kind of taste. there were 3 adults and 4 kids. 2 were not disney kids age and they would not let them order kids meals so they split a chicken pizza off the adults menu and they said it was great. DH got the steak and said it was very good. I got the chicken Patteze and i loved it. the kids ordered pasta off the kids meals and said it was very good. i will definitley eat here again.

Weour ressie was for 6:30. We got there at 6:45 and were seated at 6:55. There were 3 adults and 4 kids. Me and my sis split a salad for app. She ordered soup and I ordered the meatloaf dinner. it was very good as always. DH ordered the fried chicken dinner he liked it but it did not sit well with his stomach. The kids all got the meatloaf and liked it alot. Desserts were good. I do not remember what we had. Our waitress was good. She was not to hammy, but played the part a little.
