So i turn 15 in June. I want my little brothers room for my birthday...do you think that is too much to ask?

Backstory- (reason my parents dont let me)- They offered me the guest room (now my brothers room) and he could have my room (the size of a dorm room). I was nine and an only child and at that point in my life (not any more) i hated the thought of not being an only child (now i would die if anything happend to the little bro). I thought holding onto my room was the only way to keep things somewhat normal for me. I mean i was scared and afraid i was only NINE i didnt need that much space!!

But now i crave more space, i will be in my room at times and just feel beyond claustrophobic. Now the only thing i am asking for my birthday is to have my brothers room and let me to do it to express myself. (also when i was nine (because my bro was going to be born) my parents let me re-do my room (meaning paint the wall and re-arrange the furniture i have had since i was six). But at nine i had no idea what i wanted. now i am grown up and want my room to refelct ME not a nine year olde version me.

So ..Question One: Do you think it is too much to ask for my brother room and to be able to re-do it.
Question Two: Any ideas i was thinking or green/yellow natural room with floral touches, any ideas for that room theme.

Please really help me.

Oh and my brother is five and besides my parents room has the biggest room, i am as i said almost fifteen :)

I think that's a great idea, since he's so young I don't think a smaller room would affect him at all. It makes more sense fo you to have the larger room, too.

It depends on how much effort it would take into actually moving the room. Moving EVERYTHING into the other room and then re-painting both rooms, new bedding/furniture if needed might be a bit much.

Well I dont think its too much to ask as long as you have been on good terms with your parents about it (Have you discussed this with them before?). Honestly I think its an AWESOME idea. I would LOVE to have a larger room with mostly my stuff(course I need to get OUT soon :p). Right now i feel like im in a state of perpetual 12 year bedroom-ness with some of my 20 year old stuff (I moved into this room when I was 12 and havnt done anything to it)

oh i agree. i am keeping my same furniture and our rooms are right across from each other. plus my bedroom color is a nuetral blue that he as in his room..plus he says he sees ghosts in his room, he made me spend the night in there once and as i thought i was just his imagination but he still claims to see them, yet they dont come to my room. but he aint scared of them
