To work this transfer do I need to be a DVC? Sorry about my silly question but this is my first time in the forum.

Yes, unfortunately you would need to own DVC and have an account. I am in the same boat, boo ! (No DVC...Yet! ).

Yes you do have to own. We no longer go to the parks anymore so I plan to sell my points so I cannot rent them out. Sorry. Hope you become owners soon!
