Disney has the promotion going on right now where if you stay 4 nights on property, it includes a $150 giftcard. All of the descriptions say that it can be used or redeemed at most Disney and DTD locations. Does anyone have a list of where it can be used??

Has anyone had any problems of not being able to use it where they wanted to? Did the locations seem really limited, or rather generous?
Thanks in advance

I think the only places that it can't be used would be the stores and restaurants at Downtown Disney. I've used them inside the parks at all locations....food, retail, etc. And you can use it at the Disney Store in DTD.
Although I never did use one at the nicer restaurants like Napa Rose, so maybe someone can comment to that.

only place that doesnt accept the gift card inside the parks are ODV carts... So still bring cash for food and snacks :)

Thanks, that is good to know. I could have sworn I read that it could be used in DTD as well. I will have to double check on that.
Anyone else notice where they could not use it? I assume that character meals and counter service in the parks are ok then?

It won't work in DTD, unless you are at the Disney store. It will work at the character meals, table service, counter service and shops. It won't work at the food carts.

Essentially it's a "Disney" gift card that can be used at all Disney owned venues. It can be used at any park or shopping area assuming the store is owned and operated by Disney. (this card can even be used at Walt Disney World according to disneyland.com ).

A side question though, in order to get this gift card, do you have to only stay at a Disney owned hotel, or can it be at a disney good neighbor hotel? It's hard to tell since Disney's site and Expedia's site doesn't explicity say, and they mention both the Disney owned hotels and the Good Neighbor hotels on the same page.

I have reservations for the DLH 3/29-4/6 and when I called back to ask about this gift card I was told that you had to book a pacakge and I only booked a room reservation. But I am going to call them again and confirm this to see...booking a package through Disney was beneficial just for the $150.00 gift card (I can buymy hopper tickets on base since I am active duty and they were cheaper)...so if you find out anymore information, please let me know!!

I'd love to know what you find out because we just booked the Grand Californian for 3/11 - 3/16 (room only) and the CM said that they only offered the $150 gift card last year, but not this year! :confused3 Yet when I go to the official Disney website, there it is. . .$150 gift card with at least a 4-night stay. We are staying 5 nights. And I didn't see anything mentioned about having to book a package. . .hmmmmm.

I would also be curious. When do you get the gift card upon check in?? Or is it mailed to you before???

You get the card when you check in. It is only for the 3 DLH hotels. It is good at the hotel restaurants and gift stores in addition to the parks and Disney stores in DD. It is only good at places that take credit cards - i.e. not the food carts. It is with a 4 night stay - although I am not sure if it is just for packages or if it would be good with a 4 night room only reservation (ask when you make a reservation.). Costco.com gives it out as well as Disneyland.com. I am not sure about AAA and other travel companies. If you order package through Costco.com you will get the $150 at check in, you will also get $20 gift card sent to you beforehand (you get the $20 no matter what hotel you stay at so long as you book through costco).
