Does anyone know what this consists of? I'm bringing DH who is a beer lover and I promised him we'd do some "adult" fun stuff at Epcot, but everything is either on Saturday (when we will not be there) or too expensive. I saw on the .pdf map of the Festival that 15 Beers for 15 Years was listed, but no description. Also, on the .pdf file of the list of seminars and activities for the Festival, it is not listed. Any information would be helpful!

It's new for this year, so nobody knows.

The best guess is that for a single price you can choose a few beers to taste out of 15 that will be offered. Right now no one knows the price or how many tastes the price is good for, or the size of the tastes themselves. Check back after October 1 if you have the chance to do that.

It's not a seminar, it will be one of the World Showcase kiosks.

If I am not mistaken (its all a blurr after La Cava) they had a beer passport set up at one area where you could try 4 of 6 beers last year.
The one thing I recall is that you were better off buying the beers yourself then getting this passport.
Hopefully the 15 beers for 15 years will be better.

Another option is to walk over the to brewpub at Boardwalk.
It is a short walk from Epcot and they have beer flights.

Also another option is La Cava Tequila in Mexico.
The selection of tequilas is one of the best I have seen anywhere.

They also sell tequila flights and I think they are a much better deal than doing the Tequila tasting
The tasting really did not bring anything new to the table for me and it was not a lot of Tequila.

If you can do one of the alcohol seminars that are like $8-$10 they tend to be a decent value.

Anyone try this yet? Any word on what it is and what's there?

It's a beer stand with 15 beers, ales and lagers:
Fischer Amber
Full Sail Amber
Key West Sunset Ale
La Fin Du Monde
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale
Smithwicks
Widmer Drifter Pale Ale
Widmer Hefeweizen
Abita Amber
Abita Purple Haze
B.B. Burgerbrau
Banks Beer
Florida Lager
Sessions Lager
Viru Pilsner

Thanks... there's a few in there I've never tried, so I'm looking forward to it!

Zin, do you purchase full servings of these or tastes of certain numbers of them?

There is a beer flight available at a rate of three 6 oz. beers for $7.25 (my numbers on that may be off slightly).

Full single servings are also available in 6 oz. and 12 oz. pours.

No, according to their sign they only offer 6 oz. (for either $2.75 or $3.25) and 12 oz. (for either $5.00 or $6.25) or you can get the flight for $7.25 (any three 6 oz).

Cool...that means Fin du Monde is accessible without a rare Le Cellier reservation...who needs Le Cellier then.

Ok thanks.

What about the other booths?
I assume it is a 20oz.

For example:
Altenmünster, Octoberfest $3.25 / $6.25 / $11.50

So 2 - 12OZ for 12.50 is still a better value than one 20oz 11.50.

Actually, again according to the pictures I've seen of their signs (have not been there yet myself), the largest size at both the Hops & Barley and Brewer's Collection booths is 22 oz. and includes a souvenir stein. So the three beer prices are for 6 oz., 12 oz., and 22 oz. with souvenir stein.

Considering WDW beer prices, the 3*6oz flight doesn't look too bad I agree.

Thanks, I remember that now.

So price wise it is about the same per ounce, but you get the plastic stein.
I think I’ll stick to the 12oz, that way you can try multiples and I don't have to carry all the steins.

The flight does seem to be the a good value.
