to add to the super soakers idea, lay out a tarp on the grass. cover it with soap flakes and detergent. hose it. giant slip and slide. this is even better if its raining.

If your friends are into drama/acting/mystery you could do like a murder mystery type game where each person gets an envelop with a fake name and background information in one person background information it says Murder. Everyone has to act their part until you figure out who the murder is. To make the game go longer make it like a dinner party or a tea party. Its a lot of planning but its fun.
