I have made the Cottage Pie from Rose and Crown and it turned out pretty well. I didn't have savory and read that you can substitute thyme, so I don't know if that is what the difference was. I think next time I will just cut the thyme in half, b/c you could really taste it and I don't remember a distinct herby (is that a word?) taste at R&C.

I made the Le Cellier cheddar cheese soup. I was not good. Maybe California white cheddar is not the same as Canadian white cheddar

But they had a very close (if not the same) version at the food & wine weekends at DCA, which calmed my withdrawal until I can get the real thing in August.

I've made the 1900 Park Fare Strawberry Soup. It's very easy and very good!

It tastes exactly (to me) like the "real thing."
