Courtney-

Where did you find that Flower Girl book?? I think it is adorable!!! I think Eric's niece would love to have one as well (she is going to be our flower girl)

Your wedding is going to be beautiful, btw! I love reading your PJ!!!

How on Earth did I miss this planning journal?! You can tell I've had my head stuck in the books for the past few weeks :) Everything is so beautiful! You are going to make a beautiful bride!!!

Cannot wait for the next installment!!

Courtney, I so love those stamps, and the memory book is fantastic, I love those sorts of things, it will give her something wonderul to look back on.

You're shoes sound great, are they comfy enough to walk in?

YAY!! For sending your deposit to Randy, doesn't it feel great when you know it's confirmed? I know you will make a beautiful bride:goodvibes

Awww! You are too sweet!:hug:I just hope the pics turn out nicely. I just sent in my deposit with Randy, and I feel pretty confident he knows what he is doing. He does such a great job! Every wedding I have seen (on the disboards) that he has shot is amazing! The stamps were SO easy, and they came really quickly as well! The pricing was not bad, either. We are thinking of doing an at-home reception as well, but I just cannot find any good and reasonable venues to host one at! Did you have this problem?:confused3

Congrats on having Randy! I am sure he is the best! Where did you find your castle photo to use with your stamps??? And then you just uploaded it, right? I went on zazzle.com and yes, their prices are reasonable!

We are having our at-home reception...at home! We're doing it super casual at our house, I mean, casual dress, beer, pig roast, my band is playing in our side yard, girls from work are bringing loads of food! It will be an Open House style set-up actually. We are spending way more than we can afford on the Disney wedding, so this one has to be as inexpensive as possible! But, I know it will be fun. Most of our friends aren't too classy!

Keep posting all of your fun stuff! I love the Knot! :thumbsup2

Courtney, where are you getting your wedding band from? It is exactly what I want but I don't know how to look for it because I don't know the offical name for it. It's like an inside out eternity band, but is there a word for it?

I just googled Cinderella's castle on google pics. I can send you the pic if you want.:goodvibes It was so easy on zazzle....I just uploaded the pic from my computer and paid online. They shipped it super fast as well!

I have actually considered having the at-home reception at home as well. I was initially worried that with all the people that might show up, it would get waaaay too crowded. However, we have a large backyard, so maybe that would diffuse some of the people, lol. Spending more money on an at-home reception is my issue as well. I don't want to spend a lot, and all the venues are pretty pricey! Are you having videography at your wedding? If so, are you going to show it anywhere at your at-home? Are you going to put your professional pics out? And one more question....how long after your wedding is your at-home? Sorry for all the questions, but I need some advice on planning this!;)

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!!:dance3:

If you would send me the castle pic you have I would love it! I am excited to order from zazzle!

We were worried about having a huge group of people at our house too (we're estimating 200-250!!). We're assuming the casual open house will help with this. We think older folks and friends with children will come early and the others will come later to party later into the evening! I guess we should become really chummy with our new neighbors behind us because of the chaos!

I was/am a little worried about costs as well, but we're keeping it simple- BBQ, minimal decorations, my band will set up some of our equipment and we can use an Ipod, etc.-- and a lot of my co-workers have offered to help in many ways with food, set-up, refilling stuff etc.

We are undecided about videography still. Mostly because of the money, but we'll see. We may use our really nice brand new video camera and have one of DF's brothers work that.

We're doing a mid-September reception (we're having an early August wedding) so that we can have some pics and videos for people to see.
Any later in Sept, and it gets cold in MI!!

Good Luck, I am sure you can decide on an inexpensive way to do something back home.

Love your china and stemware BTW!!

Okay so you have convinced me to order custom stamps from zazzle.com... yours came out great! they are so fun

also your china is gorgeous!

Jodee,
Just PM me your email and I will send you the castle pic.:goodvibes

That is true about people coming in at different times. Being from Texas, we would have a BBQ, or maybe a big crawfish boil (my fave!:) ) with some beer and a margarita machine:drinking1 . I am still trying to decide if videography is in the cards. I have no problem paying $1000 for photography, but the same for videography seems a little steep, ya know? I might look into some of the other videographers girls on the board have mentioned. A magic moment had a beautiful video sample on their website....I am wondering how much they charge (they didn't answer today).

My plan was to have the reception a couple months after the wedding, so I am thinking sometime in March. I think costs can be kept down, especially compared to having it at a venue somewhere in Houston, lol. I cannot wait to see the pics from your wedding and your at-home!:goodvibes

I'm having the same debate about videography! I really think it would be wonderful to have, but I don't know if we can swing another $1000 for it. We're just going to have a family member use our camcorder and do some raw footage. It won't be the same, but it'll be FREE :rotfl:

From what I've seen, I think Magic Moment is pretty similar in price to STVS.

Karen I think we are doing the same thing.

OMG...I think I just had the big O!!!! How I miss crawfish boils! *TEARS*. I remember frequently stopping on the side of the road and picking up a few lbs with corn and potatoes! MMMM!! My favorite food in the whole wide world...oh crawfish god, please let your goodness rain down on SC!! There was this place in FL when I lived there that would have it flown in daily. It was a whopping $10/lb but oh so worth it! I introduced DF to crawfish and he loved it! We'd easily drop a couple of hundred a week on crawfish and beer when it was in season!! I must admit it is one of the only things I miss about living in Louisiana! Okay...I'll stop now...I'm sounding like a lunatic!! :lmao:

PS...I used to live in Texas too (Arlington) and miss it sooo much!
