14 days MagicBand question

If I'm doing 15 nights and arrive in Orlando about 4pm on check-in day do my MagicBand tickets run from the moment I check-in at the resort or from the first time I use them in the park? For the extra 15th day (i.e. converting to a 21 day for 14 day deal) is an extra £200+ so it seems a waste of money, but equally I don't want to find I've run out of days before the final day, particularly as we don't leave WDW until later in the day on our final day.

The 14 day tickets usually run for 14 days from first use, ie from when you first scan in to a park.

from first use...
we didn't use them on our check in day (we were too exhausted to go into the parks), so they lasted through our last day in the parks...

you use your magic bands to open your room...
and if you're on the dining plan, your magic band will have all your credits on it...
and your 14 day ultimate ticket will be on it as well....the ticket will only activate the first time you enter a park..
you can go to disney springs your first evening (that's what we did - only activated our tickets the next day when we went to animal kingdom)..

if you put a credit card on your account, you'll also be able to use your magic band to charge your purchases.....
