Can anyone tell me whether the Ultimate park tickets have an expiry date on them. I know you can use them for 14 consecutive days from activation but do they have an actual "use by" date? My sister and family are going 26 December 2006 for 14 nights - part 2006, part 2007. If you price the tickets for 2006 they are quite a bit cheaper than 2007 prices. Why is there a difference - can you not but them now to save money and keep them for 2007. I am keen to know this as i am going January 2007?
Has anyone bought them this way before :confused3

Hi Buffer,

I am keen to know this too - we are travelling Feb 07 and various Park Tickets sites show increased prices for the 14 Day Ultimate for next year.

However, www.undercovertourist.com have them for sale and in their Q&A section it says something like "I am travelling next year. Will I still be able to use these tickets then?" and the answer is "Yes, as they dont have an expiry date".

But other sites (generally UK ones) say they expire at the end of the year and you'll need to buy 2007 tickets??! Confused??!!

Whether its to extract more money out of us I dont know. But I would hate to buy them now, then travel in Feb to be told they've expired!!!

Does anyone know the actual answer here??!!!!!!!

According to Disney UK they don't have an expiry date. They only expire 14 days after the first day that they are used.

They don't expire but are actuated on the first day of use. Some of the companies,Seligo for instance, ask for your first day of use date & will not send out your tickets until about 2 weeks before that date so in your case you would pay the 2007 price- on average WDW increases it's ticket prices by about 6% each January. So you can either tell "porkies" on your holiday date or buy from some one like attractionticketsdirect who send you out your passes straight away, alternatively you could check out some of the US brokers who have more options available : Ticketmania & mapleleaftickets
HTH SD :firefight

Just received my 14 Day Ultimate tickets in the post today and they have printed on the back FIRST USE MUST BE BY DECEMBER 31, 2006. This is followed by Exp 14 Days from first use. Sorry for the bad news but wouldn't want you to waste your money. :sad2: I Disney would be able to tell you if tickets are available for next year or when they will be issued.

So much for listening to the Disney travel specialists! I was told on two separate occasions that these tickets do NOT have an expiry date on them!!

I take it my sister will be ok with 2006 tickets, as she is going on 27 December and will activate them on 28th?

she'll be fine - as the quote from disney says, they have to be activated by december 31st, so there's no problem :thumbsup2
