14 day tickets lasting 15days?

So I've read a few times that a 14 day ticket expires 14 days AFTER first use. Hence, if I use it on a Saturday, it then expires 14 days from Sunday.

I just wondered if anyway has tried this. Would be great to be able to use our ticket the day we arrive and the day we leave, but given a choice I'd just use it the day we leave. Would hate to have used a day when we arrive and not then be able to use it on our final day as we're waiting to get picked up for the airport!

i asked this question a few weeks ago and the answers were mixed..

it seems that if you don't use the pass every day, then it does work on the 15th day..
but if you use it every day, it doesn't work on the 15th day...

we'll be there in august....i'm hoping for the 15th day (since we'll be on a cruise in the middle, so not using it all of the days)...

i'll let you know if it works or not :)

I'd really appreciate that if you can. We have a couple of universal days where we won't be using our disney tickets so that wouldn't be a problem. I won't get my hopes up, but I wold consider it a big bonus if we could go to epcot the day we land, just for a few hours to have some food and drink.

Magic Your Way tickets expire 14 days from first use, except if you purchase the "no expiration" option. That "use" is any time the ticket is used at WDW for any admission, even water parks. The ticket is valid until midnight of the 14th day no matter how many days it was used for Disney admission, so skipping an admission at a Disney Park does not give you "credit" for a day not used. There is a ticket "sticky" on the Theme parks forum on the Dis with all of the rules and regulations for Disney tickets. It is maintained by a Disney CM who specializes in ticketing.

The OP is talking about the UK-exclusive 14 day Ultimate ticket. Those tickets can be (and have been) used for 15 days (including date of first use) as long as they are not used each day of the '14-day' life. Similarly, the 21-day tickets can be used for 22 days.

If you start your ticket on a Saturday then the last day should be Friday for 14 days. Saturday being day 1. Friday being day 14. I have proved over the last few years you can use it on the 15th day, in the example above that being Saturday. It would not work on the Sunday, that would be day 16.
As above, others have said if you use it every day of the 14 days the 15th day does not work, I have never tried, never done 14 straight Disney days.

UK tickets are totally different to the MYW tickets. The CM who maintains the ticket thread does a very good job at helping but with respect he doesn't know the rules on this subject, he posted a couple of years ago to say the 15th day is not possible but I have proved 2 or 3 times since it is still(will be checking again in August) possible to use a 14 day Ultimate 15 days or , as Joh says, 21 day Ultimate 22 days

We did this last year and it worked just as you said, Wayne

We got our 14 days of park entries, but spanned them over 15 days because we did had a day within that 14 day period where we didnt use our ultimates (did DTD and then MNSSHP entering only on our party ticket).

My understanding is that you can't get 15/22 days of park entries, but you can get your 14/21 days over a span of 15/22 days if you don't use your ticket on one of those days. I believe that includes water parks and Disney Quest as my understanding is that any entry that requires your ultimate ticket is counted as a day's usage, but haven't tested that myself.

I used mine for 15 days approximately 6 years ago with no problems - but there were three non WDW days in there.

Actually this has got me thinking - does the same apply to the 7 day tickets?

We are there Saturday to Saturday and assumed we would need to bypass parks the evening we arrive - is that maybe not the case, or does it only apply to 14/21? We've never done a short trip before.

I don 't have the answer to your question but say it did operate on the same principle as the ultimate tickets for example .... you'd still have to give up either your arrival night OR your departure day OR one full day in between to get it to work on the 8th day.

Yes, that's a good point. We could do that relatively easy though as we are heading to Sea World one day, so I guess we could relax in the hotel that night to avoid using up a WDW day (if it applies!)

Thanks for all your advice. I'm thinking it'll probably work and I would just go for it on my first day, I just dread being told I can't enter the park on my last day!!

i'll try to post from the states to let you know how it goes..
we'll already be done with the WDW portion of the trip by aug 29....
(when we head from orlando to detroit for a wedding)...

so i'll try to post with how it turns out for us :)

Thanks again, that'd be really helpful.

Which ticket have you got?

This year the UK ticket is a 7 day premium is for 7 days of main parks plus 7 entries to the plus options. It acts exactly like a MYW 7 day hopper with WPFM.

The relevant T&Cs from Disney:
Disney's 7-day Premium Ticket includes 7 days of unlimited access to 4 Walt Disney World Theme Parks, plus 7 total admissions to your choice of 2 Walt Disney World Water Parks, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme Park and Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course, plus one round per day (prior to 4pm) at Disney's Fantasia Gardens or Summerland Miniature Golf Courses. †Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course - green fees only; subject to availability; tee time reservations required - call 001 407 938 4653. ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex access valid only on event days, some events priced separately. Plus for 2014 arrivals, play time at PlayStation® Pavilion; valid for 30 minutes of play time per day when PlayStation® Pavilion is operating, DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme Park access excludes prize play games.

2013 tickets are for arrivals between January 1, 2013, and December 31, 2013 and must be used for the first time at any park listed above by December 31, 2013. Disney's 7 day Premium Tickets and Disney' 14 day Ultimate Tickets must be used within 14 days of first use.

Next year the 7 day switches to an Ultimate and will act exactly like the 14/21 day tickets except you will only have 7 days of entries over the 15 days including WP etc. At the moment you can effectively use 7 days at the main parks plus 7 days at the water parks.

Disney's 7 Day, 14-day and 21-day Ultimate Tickets include unlimited access to 4 Walt Disney World Theme Parks, 2 Walt Disney World Water Parks, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive theme park and Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course, plus one round per day (prior to 4pm) at Disney's Fantasia Gardens or Summerland Miniature Golf Courses.

7-day and 14-day ticket expires 14 days from first day of use; 21-Day ticket expires 21 days from first day of use.

Thank you, that's really helpful!

Looks like we could use them on arrival and leaving day then as we also have a lazy water park day planned with DTD at night :)
