Can I use this ticket for 7 days and then give it to a relative/friend for them to use for the next seven days? We have family coming and going during a two week period and would like to share the tickets - has anyone done this? Is it allowed?

No, ticket sharing is not allowed. When you first use the ticket, a finger scan will be done at the gate so this ticket can only be used by you.

I know Disney uses finger scan but didn't experience this last time I went to Universal. Do they do the finger scan also now?

Yes, they do, for quite a few years now.

Yes and are really more strict than WDW. I have AP's for both and at WDW when the scan doesn't recognize my finger, alot of times they just look at it and tell me to go on through. At Universal their scanners always seem to have a hard time recognizing my finger and they always ask for my ID, then tell me to go get another AP.

For my son when the scanner did not work, he had to sign his name and then they checked to see if the signatures matched since he doesn't have ID. They also make you sign the card if you haven't signed it when you go through.

This is a constant thorn in my side with Universal...their scanners just don't work the way they should. I have one of the old APs with my picture on it and they still want to try and scan my finger multiple times. It took three times Saturday night but you just have to deal with it.

They took mine away and made me get the new kind. Actually they gave it back to me when I asked for it but they put a hole punch through it. How do you get to keep yours? Maybe FL residents?

Hmm...I didn't know they would take it away from you. They never said anything about replacing it. They are going to have a fight on their hands when they try to take it away I can tell you that.

Did yours work at all or did it stop scanning? How old was it?

They made us get the new one about 4-5 years ago. Our original passes were from 1999-2000. I was really ticked! Finally over it...:lmao: They worked just fine - we were stopped at the gate and sent to get the new kind. I should have ditched the guy!

i wouldn't have been cooperative.

i like my original ap and would not trade it in.
since it is one of those hard plastics, like a credit card, it fits very well in my lanyard or bra.

My problem with the finger scan with my AP is that I accidently used the wrong finger the first time I entered the park with my AP. Now i just need to remember which finger I used so that I can avoid the hassle when I enter.

This AP is from 2005 so it's about seven years old and still going strong. My first AP from 2004 broke so I had to get a new one...luckily they were still issuing plastic APs.
