That is what it would cost for us to spend next Christmas in the tower with a theme park view at the Contemporary. This does include park tickets and dining but not the airplane tickets.

In case you have missed my other posts today sucked and I was day dreaming about spending next Christmas at Disney. I figured if I am dreaming I'll go all out :)

Edit: This would be for 7 or 8 nights.

Sounds like a bargain, especially when dreaming.

As long as you are dreaming, you can use the valet service for your brand new car. :thumbsup2

Oooh, can we come too? Except I'll take Wilderness Lodge with a MK view.

Hey keep dreaming. If you lose your dreams you die. If you don't dream big you don't achieve anything smaller. :thumbsup2

Wow, I already booked the CR for next Christmas. We have 12th floor, Bay Lake view, dining and tickets for 6 nights ours is around 7500. Now that was 08 rates, so I know it will change. We are a family of five. Were you trying for a suite or two rooms?

how many people? Just one???

Mikeeee

That's insane. I mean, I love Disney and all, but :scared1:

For that money, you could almost buy a brand new car.

I watched the parade today on ABC and when DH got home I looked at him and said....

"We're going to WDW in 2010 or 2011. No if's, or but's, we're going."

:-D I need a fix, but not for that much. That would wipe out our savings, holy crap!

I am not sure as it was just for fun. I just like the idea of being in the tower with a theme park view. I do know if we did the standard view we could save $9,686. Maybe we will look at the POP if it looks like we will really do this.

It is insane. And to think someone will really pay for that. Today as I was siting in the ER watching the Disney parade on TV I couldn't help but think of who was living out their dream.

My mom kept aapologizing for "everything". We were kind of laughing on how draining this is on me. And she said that it would probably make me feel better if she paid off my student loans. I said she can't afford to do that while my DBF is saying it isn't about money. I said something about how it isn't about money but a trip to Disney couldn't hurt anything. I must have mentioned it a few times as she asked when my vacations were. I know she couldn't understand the significance of a Disney trip. My DBF tried to explain to her that Disney is my happy place. As you know our trip in August was "ruined" because she was hospitalized the first night we were there. The reality iis it is much better that we were right here this time instead of at the Tower view. But someday......... I don't know if you can understand but my Disney dreams are what is getting me through the night (and my sleeping pill is starting to kick in :)

Well, last month we booked two rooms at the DTD Hilton for 6 people. 7 nights, January 6-13. Including airfare, $540.

Airline and hotel points. Gotta love 'em.

Did you book right through Disney? It would be just 2 of us and we only need one bed. If we bring my mom we would need two rooms.

Yes, right off their website. I booked in October.

I think that $14k price was for a Club Level suite. I just checked prices for CR and you can stay for 8 days, with tickets and dining, in the Tower with a MK view for ..... $6798.22 :)

So lets dream:
Family of 5 aug 29-sept 4
staying at all star music (suite)
5 day ticket (park hopper) and flight included.
$ 4106.56

Dec 21-27th
same family
All star music
6 day ticket
3359.00

That's an expensive dream for WDW :rotfl2: ...our Dream is always 14 days on the Disney Cruise. We have cruised on DCL 7 times so far and the best one was out 14 day DC through the Panama Canal in 2005. So we dream again to do a 14 day but school cramps our style.

When in elementary School and Middle school it was easy to take them out for a few days if needed.....High School Honors and AP classes...that would be just a nightmare to miss...DH and I can leave anytime any day to travel...we have no one to tell us we cant well except our bank account maybe

So for know we will wait...we will do DL every year since we are a little more than 1 hr away...and WDW if need be...but we will not cruise again on DCL till the new ships come out in 1211 and 2012....AND THEY BETTER WORK WITH MY SCHEDUAL OR ELSE :lmao:

Hope I can hold out that long not cruising....every year for 7 years and all of a sudden stopping cold Turkey...:scared: man O man...
