13 days to go -DS is packing!

When I went to check on my DS6 last night as he was supposed to be getting ready for be, I noticed he had his suitcase out and was packing! We don't leave for 13 days!!
He had is pajamas so neatly folded, a couple of books, his stuffed Mickey and had put one of his toothbrushes in a ziploc bag.
do you think he's excited??? (Ok, why shouldn't he be... I know I am )

We start 'packing' the day we book the trip. We make a pile of all the stuff we know we want to bring and don't need for the time being. Seeing the pile keeps us all excited. It gets bigger and bigger as we get closer to the trip

I don't blame him. I leave in 12 days a I laid out the suitcases on Sunday so we could slowly start packing.

I don't blame him either, I leave and 10 days and have been packed for nearly 2 weeks. I am so excited

We have 25 days and I already have a Disney pile started. Can't wait, this is our first holiday trip.

First off, Minsmom, thank goodness someone in your family is on top of things

Packing should be started anywhere from the 180 day mark to the 30 day mark. Anything later than that and you may forget valuable items needed for vacation. Seriously though, we get the luggage out about a month or so prior to the trip and start throwing stuff together. It makes that last 30 day countdown so much fun. Heck, I just put up 3 Christmas trees in the house last weekend so they'll be decorated when we come home after our trip.

We're at 9 days today and my DD7, DS7, DS8 all woke mom up with a little thing we like to call our Single Digit Dance. Now, I know many of you have been using that term on here for a long time, we just take it a little more literal. So mom woke up to the 4 of us at the end of the bed at about 6:30am doing our dance. She was very pleased

Mickeygolf - too funny! I love the visual of the single digit dance You're right - DS6 is organized and has a better memory than me! I'm so busy obsessing over touring plans that I'll probably end up packing my stuff the night before we leave! (In my defence, I do have a cubby for "stuff", papers, tickets etc., an dI do have a pile of lighter weight clothes in a big rubbermaid tub ready to be packed.
Poohsmommi - where are you staying?
I can't wait to see the expression on DS' face when he first sees Mickey!! Or goes on his first fast ride! Or gets his (really reallly wanted!) Mickey ears!! or, or....or..... I'm excited too!!

Haha I usually start packing about a month or so in advance. And by packing I mean actually putting the stuff in the suitcase. I usually take over the guest room and start the infamous "Disney pile" as soon as the trip is booked.

Our suitcases have been out for two months!! See you in WDW the week after thanksgiving. We'll be the ones with the lime green Mickey head with santa hats on!

I pulled out our suitcases this past weekend, for our trip which starts on the 26th. I came home today and the DW's suitcase is half filled.

13 More Days
It's only 13 blessed more sleeps until our long awaited trip. I'm basking in all of the waiting as well because our trips always seem to fly by soooo fast.

I can Hardly wait suitcases came out last weekend, clothes washed just waiting for a weather update to see what it will be like when were ther and just tyring to keep busy.

We are staying at Saratoga Springs and we get there on the 24th also. We are going to MVMCP on the 27th also Toothy10!!!

Woohoo!!! 12 days for us too!!! We are going to be at MVMCP on the 27th as well-there is a planned DIS meet for that night if anyone is interested in joining us. I am sooooo excited that it is this close but also a little sad because I know it will be here and over before I know it and I don't want it to end!! I can't wait to see my 2 1/2 yo DD's reaction to it all!!

I just looked at the pictures on the link someone posted to MVMCP - I got all teary!! I'm going to be such an embarassment when I'm there!!! I used to be embarassed and laugh at my mom when she cried because something was "so beautiful"... now i'm doing it. Yikes!
I hope that whatever happens in Disney stays in Disney!

2 weeks from today and I will be disney bound!! I have started buying the little things, like toiletries, for my trip. I filled out my dme tags and going to pull out the suitcases tonight- such fun isn't it!!

I agree with most people on here and always start puttine things aside when I book the trip no matter how far away it is!!
