I'm happy with the decision, as much as I wanted to try something new. I just hit the point where something had to go, and it was the costume. At least I love my other choices. I'll probably chose which one by what the weather forcast is for. The Belle costume is the coolest. The Esmeralda in the middle - the skirt is a bit heavier and longer but it's still short sleeves. My Raggedy Ann costume has long sleeves, but is a light cotton. I was just thinking last night that I still have the Cinderella dress too. I'll be fine.

I found the pictures, but they are older non-digital ones. I'll try to scan them this weekend. It's pretty cute.

Everyone has their own shopping weakness. For most women this is shoes. My grandmother never found a blouse she didn't like. My mom feels the need to pick up endless amounts of snowmen during the holidays. My wide, high arched feet have prevent me from wearing anything vaguely resembling a stylish shoe. I avoid shirts that button down the front like the plague, and I can take or leave snowmen.

My shopping achilles heel is swimsuits.

Yes swimsuits.

Trust me, I don't get it either. I barely use the ones I have, but I'm constantly driven to pick up a new one if there is so much as a hint of water I may get to go in on vacation. I swear it's a kind of compulsive addiction. I bought a new tankini top before my December trip to go with a pair of Lands End swim shorts I already had. I also bought a new basic blue tank from the discount rack at LL Bean last year. I need another swimsuit like I need a hole in my head. I honestly had no desire to buy a new swimsuit for this trip at all.

That was until I saw this swimsuit.

Sigh. J'Adore!! The Marilyn swimsuit from Pinup Girl Clothing.

Words cannot express how much I want this bathing suit. Love, Love, Love it! So much better than a regular bathing suit. A retro styled bathing suit. I heart retro. I love this so much I'm willing to pass up on the one thing I though I loved more than bathing suits - a new Halloween costume. The problem is that it's crazy expensive. Money I would feel guilty about spending on a bathing suit, but I love this so much I'm going to spend my weekend listing some stuff on ebay to finance it. I've spent quite some time looking through the fan photos on their Facebook page, and people have nothing but praises for it. I actually find that, unlike many suits, it looks better on people with more full figures.

I'm holding off on ordering, so that hopefully Pinup Girl Clothing might have a sale. They had one a couple of weeks ago and I didn't order. I'm a bit torn on the color. It also comes in red, black, white, animal print, green, gold and blue. I had originally wanted the white, as my favorite suit ever was a retro white suit, but I don't like the idea of ordering a white suit without being able to make sure it's well lined. Now, I'm torn between the pink, gold, or green. I love the pink on the model, but I don't really wear lots of pink myself, and I think it works best with a Marlyn look. Right now I'm leaning towards the gold. They have a few dresses I covet as well, and might have to spluge a bit if my ebaying goes well.

It will be mine though!

Oh gosh!! That swimsuit is THE BOMB!! OH CRISSY!! It is adorable, and I love the fact that you love it too!!

If you've only worn Esmerelda once, then you definitely should go with that! I can't wait to see you in it!! (If that's what you go with, of course- no pressure there or anything. LOL!)

I am completely addicted to retro clothing. That bathing suit is completely calling out to me. I've pretty much picked gold as my color, but I'm still a bit tempted by the green.

I was playing around on the AMC website last night and I Mad Men'd myself. Thought I'd use it as my avatar for awhile. I get easily bored with my avatars and need to change them up every once in awhile.
