Disneyworld July 14th Trip Report
July 13th
Returned home from work at 3:00PM. Midori and I showered, dressed and moved the luggage to the driveway. Driver picked us up at 5:00 PM and delivered DD and I to the DFW Marriott, north of the airport. Checked in our room and went down stairs to eat dinner, fell asleep at 10:15 PM.
July 14th DFW Airport
Received a wake up call at 2:30 AM. Cleaned up, dressed and went down stairs for a breakfast snack at the Coffee Cart. Marriott shuttle took us to terminal A, Gate 35 for check in at 4:30 AM. Boarded the plane at 5:50 AM and settled down for the flight. Midori log onto the GoGo internet and watched you tube videos and chatted with her friends on her I pad. Departed DFW 6:20 AM and arrived Orlando at 9:50 AM. Boarded ME immediately and drove off within 8 minutes. Dropped off Key West, Saratoga and arrived POFQ.
The check in lines were full so we were directed to check in with the Concierge. Kelly our agent told us that there were no more standard rooms available because they were sold out so if we wanted to stay at POFQ we would have to accept our free upgrade to a preferred room over looking the River / Garden. At first, when Kelly mentioned no rooms because of sell out I was nervous, then I listened to the rest of her conversation and then realized PIXIE DUST has been sprinkled, I was gleaming with smiles. We accepted and walked over to our room and settled in.
Wego Shopping called about 11:30 AM to let me know that she was at the front drive of POFQ with my grocery order. Met the driver, paid, tipped and walked back to the room with my order. Midori and I walked over to the food court and ordered Chicken Nuggets with F.F. And a Cheese Steak Sandwich, purchased a refillable cup and enjoyed our lunch. (Decided not to eat at Earl of Sandwich) no reason other than we were super hungry NOW!!! and wanted to eat. Rode the bus to DTD to shop at World of Disney for friends of Midori. Purchased a Perry stuffy for Midori and then returned to the Resort.
Midori decided to rest and watch TV and chat on her I pad with her friends while waiting for me to unpack. DD fell asleep and slept until 9:00 PM. Woke up and said she was hungry. We walked over to the food court and purchased BBQ Ribs and Chicken Nuggets with Mac and Cheese. We placed our food on the table and walked over to the condiment station to get Ketchup and eating utensils. Ketchup was being replaced so we waited. 3 Cast Members walked towards me with a Cupcake and a Balloon and shouted to the 100's in the food court to join them in wishing and singing Happy Birthday to me. WOW!!! another dusting of PIXIE DUST. We sat down and enjoyed our meal and walked back to our room. DD wanted to change the color of her finger nail polish so I repainted her nails. We then settled down in our comfortable beds and watched TV until we fell asleep.
July 15th Magic Kingdom
I woke up at 4:30 AM and walked around the resort for exercise and enjoyed coffee on a bench over looking the river. Came back to the room to do my morning worship and now starting our trip report. Today is MK day with extra hours in the evening. DD woke up at 6 AM. Walked to the bus stop and the MK bus was already there. Arrived at 8:15 AM at MK gate and watched the welcoming show. Went to Space Mountain and the ride was broke down, got a fast pass for 10:00 AM, walked over to Thunder Mountain and rode it twice. Rode Splash Mountain once and then got on the train for Tomorrow land. The new Tomorrow land looks really nice and when they finish with the construction, it will be a site to see. Walked over to Space Mountain and got a fast pass for 3 PM. Our fast pass was expired at 11:20 AM and it was 11:45 AM and they still let us use it. Must have been because the ride was broke and the CM's were not enforcing the fast pass times. We were very hungry, our reservation for the Plaza was not until 12:20PM but we walked over to the Plaza and asked if we could get in, it was 12:00 noon. We were seated immediately, DD ordered Turkey and Bacon Club, Coke and I ordered my regular, Potato Soup, Ruben and Iced Tea. WOW!! the food and service exceeded our expectation. After our meal the CM's came over to sing Happy Birthday and gave me a cupcake with a candle on it. We were sitting next to a family of 4 and decided to give out 3 PM Space Mountain fast passes to the 2 teenager girl's of the family. The family said thanks and wished us a good day.
We decided to go back to the Resort to rest so we will be able to keep up during MK's Magic Hours tonight. Walked over to the bus stop and waited a couple of minutes for the bus. Returned to the Resort at 2:15 PM, walked in to see our room cleaned and Birthday card on the table. DD and I fell asleep around 3:15 PM and now it is 5:30 PM. We'll probably go back around 9:30 PM.
DD and I went back at 9:15 PM for Magic Hours. We hit Tomorrow land first and rode Space Mountain, Blue Line, and Buzz. Walked to Haunted Mansion, Thunder, Splash, Pirates and then Jungle. Left the park at 12:30 AM. No waits for any of the rides. After the Fireworks and Parades, everyone left. I truly mean everyone left. Got on the POFQ bus immediately and got back to the Resort in 15 minutes. Great day for DD and I.
July 16th – My 54th Birthday - Hollywood Studio
Midori and I caught the Hollywood Studio Bus at 8:35 AM and got to the park at 8:50 AM. Gates opened and we went to Tower of Terror, got a fast passes for later, rode the ride 2 times and then walked over to RR Coaster and got another fast pass for later. Rode RR Coaster twice and then went to Sci – Fi for lunch. We requested Sarah from England (Server from last year, but her tables were all full) We were seated immediately and Laura our server brought Sarah over since the Cap Hop told Laura we requested her. We all visited for a few minutes and then ordered Artichoke and Spinach Dip, Ruben Sandwich and Angus Burger. The same order as last year and enjoyed it as usual. After lunch, Sarah and Laura sang Happy Birthday and wished us a great day. Midori decided that we would call it a day and go back to the Resort until 9:30 PM for Magic Hours. I am doing laundry right now and Midori is on her I Pad playing games and talking to her friends in Texas.
7:00 PM – Midori is sleeping right now. I just woke up from a 3 hour nap. We'll go to Hollywood Studio around 9:30 PM for the extended Magic Hours. It has been raining every afternoon for the past couple of days so coming back to the Resort to rest has been good so far.
9:30 PM – H.S. Extra Magic Hours
Midori and I caught the bus around 9:30 PM, returned to Hollywood Studio just about 10:00 PM. Rode Tower of Terrors twice and RR Coaster twice. Walked over to Toy Story Mania and had to wait in line about 45 minutes. The Tour groups were infiltrating Hollywood Studios so the lines were a little long at times. Fun night and last but least, I had to buy a Turkey Leg on the way out. Left for the bus at 12:45AM. While riding on the bus the smell of the Turkey Leg made everyone on the bus comment about how they should have gotten a Turkey Leg, Boy!!! that smells good, Are you sure you want the Turkey Leg? The whole bus smelled like Turkey. I felt bad so Midori and I stopped munching on the leg. Everyone noticed and they were laughing and said go ahead and eat the Turkey Leg, we'll just watch. The bus ride back ended up being a lot of fun. As we departed the bus the Driver asked if we would leg the Turkey Leg with him.
July 17th Epcot
DD and I caught the Epcot Bus at 8:45 AM and got to Epcot at 9:05 AM. It was not crowded at all this morning. The mad rush to get fast passes had been over with by the time we arrived to get our fast passes for Soarin. We got to ride Soarin with in 20 minutes after getting our fast passes. We got on Living with the Land and Nemo ride with no wait. Moved over to Mission Space and rode it with in minutes. Rode Ellen's ride and then went to Japan and at Sashimi and Tempura Udon. Got on the Ferry Boat and made it back to the front of the park before it started raining. Left the Park at 2:00 PM to come back to the resort. We are taking the Ferry Boat to DTD to go eat at Rain Forrest and go to the Movies to see Ice Age. Then come back to Epcot to take advantage of the EMH. See Ya Soon!!!.
EMH – Epcot
Midori and I took the Ferry to DTD for dinner at Rain Forrest Cafe. Onion Rings, Midori and I had Steaks tonight. We were a little tired the regular offerings of the Disney Parks. Went to the AMC Movie Theater to watch Ice Age. We rode the Ferry back to the Resort to put up the to go boxes and then Midori and I returned to Epcot around 10:30PM. We rode Maelstrom, the boat ride at Mexico, Nemo and then Soarin.
July 18th Animal Kingdom Early Magic Hours
Good Morning Everyone, We got to AMK at 7:30 AM and as soon as the gates opened, we went to Expedition Everest. Got a fast pass for later and rode the ride twice before the crowds started to gather. Went to Bugs Life, Dino-rama, and rode Dinosaur twice. My back pack flew out during the second ride, reported my loss and will check with Lost and Found at the transportation center tomorrow. Forgot how rough the ride was so my fault for not securing the back pack. I told Guest relations that the dinosaurs ate my back pack, they all laughed.
Picked up Picnic in the park lunch from Midori and I at Beastly Bazaar. They do not offer the neat little green bag with Animal Kingdom Picnic in the Park any longer, but the lunch is superb. Returned to the resort at 12:00 noon and stating laundry. Tonight – Ohana's for dinner at 8:15 PM. We were lucky to get 8:15 PM reservations and canceled our 9:30 PM slot.
Evening At Ohana's
Took the POFQ bus to Magic Kingdom and then the Resort Monorail to the Polynesian Resort. Oh My Word People, I forgot how much fun and how great the food and service was at Ohana's. DD and I ate so much and the entertainment was fabu. Celebrated my Birthday for the 5th day in a row. Midori told me next year we have to stay at the Polynesian. SO, I had better start now and save all I can. Tomorrow is Hollywood Studio again.
July 19th Magic Kingdom
We decided to go to Magic Kingdom today instead of Hollywood Studio - Arrived for EMH at MK. Got fast passes for Space Mountain and rode it twice. Rode Blue Line, Buzz and did the Laugh Floor. Rode he Steam Train to Frontier Land and got fast passes for Splash Mountain. Rode Thunder and Pirates and return to Splash to ride it with fast passes. Took the train to the Main entrance and took the Resort Monorail to the transportation center to retrieve our back pack we lost at Animal Kingdom Dino ride. Got back on the Monorail and went to the Polynesian to see if we could meet up with Anjalee and her family since we have been missing them throughout the week. They were eating at Kona's and Anjalee recognized us and walked over to greet us. Nice to talk to you Anjalee..... Went back to the Resort and now getting ready to go to DTD on the PO Boat. Do not know what we are going to do tonight. Maybe come back to the resort or back to MK.
Evening of July 19th
After napping, we text-ed Solana and decided to meet up at the Polynesian. Midori and I rode the boat from POFQ to DTD. Went to World of Disney to get Midori 2 – Vinylmation. Stopped by Goofy's candy store and purchased some goodies. Caught the Polynesian bus from DTD to meet up with Solana. Solana and her cousin was eating at Kona's and we decided to eat Sushi at the Sushi Bar. After we finished, we took the monorail to MK and caught the bus back to our resort. Midori and I had a SUPER day at MK, meeting Anjalee and Solana. It is really nice meeting fellow Diser's communicating on the Dis Board. Tomorrow – DD and I will decide if we will return to MK or go to HS. Talk to you Diser's later.
July 20th Hollywood Studio
Midori and I went to Hollywood Studio today. Arrived at the gate at 8:45 AM and they were letting everyone in early. Walked over to T of Terrors and got a fast pass for later and rode the ride. Then, walked over to RRC and rode it. Went over to T of Terrors and cashed in on the fast pass and then went to RRC to get a fast pass for later. After the back and forth from T. of T. and RRC we went to Starwars and Muppets. We went to the Toy Story Pizza Planet. Midori ate Pepperoni Pizza and I had a Meatball Sub. Went to RRC and rode it one more time and then left the park at 1:00 PM. We are at the Resort resting now. Don't know if we will go back to H.S. or go back to DTD for the night. Unfortunately, we did not run into Mousemommy. Missed them again.
Evening of July 20th DTD
Midori and I took the boat to DTD. Did some more shopping at the World of Disney, Goofy Candy Store and then took the bus back to the resort. Midori and I are eating from the food court. We are going to the “Sit around the fire/ sing along” behind Building 6 and then walk over to the Movie area and finish out the night watching Toy Story.
July 21st Orlando Airport
Midori and I will get up at 3:00 AM and get ready. Walk over to the ME pick up area to board the bus to the airport at 5:15 AM. Our flight back home to DFW will depart at 8:15 AM.
To all Diser's sharing our day to day excitement prior to leaving home and during our WDW Vacation. I appreciate your support and following our daily trip report. Midori and I wish you safe travels to and from WDW. We wish you a great year to come, May God Bless you and your family daily. It has been a privilege sharing your excitement and following us in our excitement. Hopefully we will all be able to continue our Dis Board relationship during the coming years.

Midori and I will get up at 3:00 AM and get ready. Walk over to the ME pick up area to board the bus to the airport at 5:15 AM. Our flight back home to DFW will depart at 8:15 AM.
To all Diser's sharing our day to day excitement prior to leaving home and during our WDW Vacation. I appreciate your support and following our daily trip report. Midori and I wish you safe travels to and from WDW. We wish you a great year to come, May God Bless you and your family daily. It has been a privilege sharing your excitement and following us in our excitement. Hopefully we will all be able to continue our Dis Board relationship during the coming years.
