12th-16th May Trip Report *PICS* *updated 11/06/08*

Hellooo

So I've been back for over a week now, spent it being ill and sorting out pictures. But now my memory is getting foggy, so I expect it'll be minimal writing and mainly photos and many outfit changes.

So I best introduce us..

Annie (me) I'm 19. Love Disney.
Jo (DBF) He's 20. Not such a disney lover. Hairdresser. Doing this for me really. He's a poser and a bit crazy.

So I guess our adventure begins on the 11th of May. Day 0 if you will.

The morning consisted of packing, cleaning and getting the cat's ready to go to my mum's. I had to head into town to get a pair of black bikini bottoms. Pretty boring really..

Around 2 we headed to the station to get a train to London.

The first of many silly photos of my JoJo.

We arrived in London at around 4.30, and walked to our Travel Lodge (Farringdon).

I look awwwful in this pic, but I love my luggage.

After quick showers and getting changed, doing makeup and hair (mainly Jo ). We headed to Covent Garden for our 6.30 reservation, arrived quite early so had a wonder around first.

We had a lovely meal, I had Jack Daniels Salmon Salad and a Mojito to drink and Jo had Steak (Jo loooved steak) and a Long Island Iced Tea.

After the meal there was a bit of drama over Jo's lost fags which caused a bit of mardyness from him, but all was solved when I was an amazing girlfriend and gave him money to buy some more. Then we headed to the Trocadero (Leicester Square), I got some jewellery from Claire's and beat Jo at air hockey .

After that excitement we met up with a couple of friends who I hadn't seen for a while which was nice. We went to wetherspoons had a few drinks.

Then we had a wonder around annnd...

John had an idea.

And at midnight...

They sung happy birthday to me infront the eye..

Then Jo and I headed back to the travel lodge for some much needed sleep.

Day 1 (My 19th Birthday!)

We got up at around 7 got dressed and ready and then walked back to St Pancras to get the eurostar... I've always travelled by eurostar to dlrp.. It's just so convenient.. We didn't sit together on the train but it was ok... The train journey was soon over and we had arrived...

We then had to walk to Sequoia Lodge. As we walked through the Disney Village, Jo kept wanting to stop and look at things and take it all in... It occured to me that I was comfortable, I felt at home, everything was so familiar and I was ecstatic to be there. But for Jo it was new and fascinating, it was nice to see him experience it for the first time.

Soon enough we were at Lake Disney and then finally at Sequoia Lodge where our room was all ready and waiting for us.

Once in the room I got changed quickly into some more sun-friendly clothes and slapped on the sun cream and then we were out on our way to the park, I just couldn't wait to get there.. There's nothing like seeing The Disneyland Hotel and knowing that just the other side is the place you've been dreaming of since your last trip.

But there's also nothing like your first sighting of the castle on a trip.

Then our tummies caught up with us. Yeah we were hungry, reeeealllyyyy hungry. So Casey's it was

And as we were tucking into our hot dogs taking in main street, the character express passed by.

Then we headed to frontierland, fastpassed Thunder Mountain and went to the Phantom Manor.

Then off to Adventureland and on Pirates of the Carribean (a big favourite of mine )

I think at this point we went to the village and had a drink at the sports bar..
Then back into the park for our fastpass time at Thunder Mountain.

I feel bad about putting my hands up.

I think we went and fastpassed Space Mountain, had some crisps and went on Buzz.

I WOOOON!

Then I think it was fastpast time but it wasn't working. The plan was to watch Candelabration but Jo wasn't feeling too good, so we headed back to Sequoia Lodge for a rest and to get changed at stuff.

For tea we went to The Rainforest Cafe which we loved, food was great, as was the service and the atmosphere. I believe Jo had steak and I had the Rainforest Noodles which were yummyyy!

After that we had a wander around, went Billy Bobs and then Jo found a friend.

Then we took a walk back around the lake to SL.

It was a bit amazing to be there on my birthday, though I kept forgetting it was my birthday as I was just so happy to be there...
As for Jo... well.... He's looking forward to our next trip, hehe! ... Just have to plan it!

Day 2

I think today has a lot of pictures of us posing infront of things haha... You may be sick of our faces...

I think goofy woke us up at around 7.30, so we could get down to our 8.15 breakfast. Jo was not happy. He hated the breakfast, he hated being up so early and probably hated me for dragging him out of bed for said hated breakfast. There was much complaining and shhing...

After such a lovely breakfast (I actually love the breakfast food) we headed to the Studios.

Yaayyyy

As soon as I got through studio 1 I was amazed at just how much the TOT area had changed in the past year. It looked amaaazing! First thing we did was fastpass TOT.

Then Jo needed the loo sooo err, I waited for him..

and waited...

and then he appeared yayyy!

I believe we went on Rock and Roll... Jo loved it, I remembered how much I loved it, and with just a 5 min wait, who can't resist going on again?

Bumped into Cruella

She was not a big fan of Jo as it shows haha...

Next up TOT... About a decade ago Jo went to WDW and went on this and loved it, and he was really looking forward to it... He warned me before hand he may get a bit scared as he is afraid of heights.. But I never expected him to freak out like he did, he grabbed his head screaming at the top of his lungs, I don't think I have ever laughed about something so much! It was hilarious! Just thinking about it gets me in fits of giggles, like now...

I loved it!

Next up Moteurs Action, which was just as amazing as I remember.. .. Jo was pretty impressed too..

Then we decided to head back to the hotel for a little bit, but not before running into Goofy on the way out..
I love him.. Lots..

Back at the hotel, we decided to go to the pool for a bit... It was such a lovely hot day it was needed, even though I didn't really get in the pool, too cold!

Back again..

So we headed to the parks, not before stopping off for some posing of course:

As we arrived, the Character Express Choo Choo'd on by!

I forgot to mention that in Day 1 that watching this is what led us to the discovery that JO DANCES LIKE GOOFY... This is no lie... He dances like this when out, much to the amusement of everyone else., and no he's not trying to dance stupid when he does it... It's natural to him

Anyway, we headed through the castle and had a nice romantic ride on the carousel.. aawwwww haha!

Next up Alice in Wonderland's Labryinth.... Almost deserves it's own post with the amount of posing going on..

Believe it or not there's far more where that came from...

I'm not really sure what we did for the next hourish... But ermm.. Next up Candleabration..

I love this show, it's so cute... Would be better if it was darker... But still lovely all the same...

After the show we headed out of the park... Stopping on the way in the shops, I probably got some sweeets yumm...

We probably stopped at a couple of places in the village, getting back to the hotel to get ready for Buffalo Bills!! .. I loooooove it! Everytime I've been to DLRP I've been.. It was definatly one of the highlights of my trip and one of the things I was most looking forward to..

The show was amaazing as usual... The food equally as good.. Although we did some swapping around... I had some of Jo's chilli and his corn on the cob and he had my chicken and kebab thingy and my desert... We were stuffed by the end... Our "clown" was wicked, a really good entertainer, and we had such an amazing time!

Afterwards we did what any cowboys and cowgirls would do... We headed to BillyBobs for a few drinks and a chat... We loved sitting outside and taking in all the sights and lights of the village..

May have stopped at SL bar, I love it there it's so cosyyy one of the reasons I love the hotel so much... I love just sitting there...

Looks like you had a great time.

I'm envious, as often fantasise about what it would have been like to visit DLRP before the kids came along....make the most of it!
