Keep up the great writing!! I loved the video footage! I am REALLY looking forward to our first Christmas time visit this coming Nov/Dec!! I cannot wait to be in the middle of that crazy mass of lights and music and people! HOW FUN! Any hints or tips you have on making the most of it would be appreciated! :santa:

It's time for another Disney Know & Tell!

Disney Know & Tell #2 - Get a FREE Wishes cruise... if you're lucky and you time it just right! OK, here's the scoop: One night we were waiting at the Wilderness Lodge marina and got on the ferry boat going to Fort Wilderness right before 9 pm. As soon as the boat pushed away from the dock, Wishes started at the Magic Kingdom. Much to our surprise, our boat captain took the ferry closer to the fireworks show, right behind the Contemporary on Bay Lake. What a view! He let us watch the whole Wishes fireworks show and then we went on our way to Fort Wilderness. Now, I'm not guaranteeing that this will happen every time, but there is a chance that if you time it right, you will be able to watch Wishes from one of the Bay Lake, or Seven Seas Lagoon ferries. It's worth a try! :thumbsup2

We did this!!! We had dinner at Whispering Canyon on 12/29. After dinner we were taking the boat from WL to MK and Wishes started. The captain slowed down to almost a stop. There were not many people on board and it was a beautiful night so everyone sat up front and had a MARVELOUS view! It was coincidental but I wouldn't mind trying to plan to be on the lagoon or lake on a ferry during Wishes again! Thanks for the report and the tips!

Take your time! I'm just glad that you are back! I'm sorry about your damaged stuff in the move. But, just think, soon you'll officially be a FLORIDIAN! WhooHooo! If we ever do get to have our Vow Renewal at Sea Breeze Point, you'll be the first person from the DIS that I will invite!

When can we start the planning!? :goodvibes :rotfl2:

Our mission was to see the Osborne Lights. The kids had never seen the lights before, but Steve & I saw them in December 2004, when we went to WDW for a long weekend - without the kids! :cloud9: (Note to self: MUST plan another getaway!) We got to MGM just as the sun was setting, and walked straight back to the Streets of America. I wanted to be there for the 'flip of the switch'.

Michelle, thanks for sharing the pics of Osborne Lights. We've never seen it - it looks beautiful.

Planning another getaway sounds like a great idea :thumbsup2 I hope to do that one day myself with DH. :)

I wish I could see the video clips but being on dialup just takes too long :(

Dinner at Flying Fish was wonderful. It wasn't very crowded and we had a quiet table in the back. It was soooo nice just being able to be together and relax. We had a nice bottle of wine and the food was delicious. After dinner, we took a leisurely stroll around Crescent Lake. :cloud9:

Sounds romantic  - glad you had a wonderful time!

Me either, mickeyFan..isn't michelle's report
just wonderful? I am so hooked on her report!
I anxiously await each and every installment.
I will not be a happy camper when her report
is done!!!:goodvibes

This is the most awesome trip report ever! I love the Illuminations video and Osbourne lights is amazing too. I have seen Osbourne light on the Disney Christmas special but I think it was out dated because yours is better. Our next trip is October at Poly and we are going to MNSSHP but 2008 will deifnately be Christmas season and MVMCP and everything else. Christmas time at Disney looks so incredible. Love the stroy of how you sold your Tractor to get Disney Vacation club :lmao: .

OH NO MICHELLE DONT STOP THERE!! I was all pumped to see if you got a dream! .. oh no now I will just have to wait for the next part! Great installment though! :goodvibes
