.

I hope your DD is doing okay. I had Shingles last year, I was only 34 at the time and the Dr. said I was young but WOW, your poor DD.

Not to cause worry but I was not uncomfortable at first, I did have a pretty bad case though. After about a week, my skin felt like someone was holding lit cigarettes to me but also itched. I don't want you to worry but be prepared and have Motrin and Benadryl ready. Motrin did help some also I took some pain meds the Dr. gave me.

It took mine 5 weeks to go away, I had it from my spine to my right hip. I think having clothes in that area irritated it more. Also, I was breastfeeding so I couldn't take the anti-viral meds.

Mine 1st appeared around Nov. 1 and by Thanksgiving my DD5-1/2 months had chx pox.

I hope your DD is feeling better soon.

Also, on a side note, Chx Pox has been going around our school lately and all the kids that have caught it did the the shot as a baby.

My DS9 had the Shingles when he was six years old.He did have a headache and did not feel well for about a week.He had chickenpox when he was 5 mths old.He was a sick failure-to-thrive baby and was not allowed out except to go to the Dr. for weekly weigh ins.He got the chickenpox there.
