I hope your DD is doing okay. I had Shingles last year, I was only 34 at the time and the Dr. said I was young but WOW, your poor DD.
Not to cause worry but I was not uncomfortable at first, I did have a pretty bad case though. After about a week, my skin felt like someone was holding lit cigarettes to me but also itched. I don't want you to worry but be prepared and have Motrin and Benadryl ready. Motrin did help some also I took some pain meds the Dr. gave me.
It took mine 5 weeks to go away, I had it from my spine to my right hip. I think having clothes in that area irritated it more. Also, I was breastfeeding so I couldn't take the anti-viral meds.
Mine 1st appeared around Nov. 1 and by Thanksgiving my DD5-1/2 months had chx pox.
I hope your DD is feeling better soon.
Also, on a side note, Chx Pox has been going around our school lately and all the kids that have caught it did the the shot as a baby.
