Day 9-- Friday 11/7

Today we were heading home. All yesterday all's I wanted was to be home. Now today I kept getting misty eyed. I didn't want to leave Mickey yet. My neice who has a vocabulary of about 20 words-- was walking around the house holding her stuffed Minnie saying "Minnie-- no bye bye" She had learned to say Minnie. She kissed Minnie-- it was the only character she didn't scream near. Minnie had won her little heart. Everyone was alittle testy-- we all wanted more time.

We were almost 30 minutes late leaving for the airport. Guess who held us up again-- MOM. She most of all really wanted to stay, and was dragging it out. We said our good-byes to my cousin and her DD-- they live in Alabama and were driving home. It was really upsetting because I knew it was going to be a couple years before I see them again. We had so much fun together. Everyone kept saying we would all come back together in 3 years-- As hard as it was to keep them all together-- and as frustrating as they were w/ all their pit stops-- I'm there in a heartbeat. They were the life of this trip-- my 9 newbies!!

I was really cranky at the airport-- I now didn't want to go home-- and I didn't understand why they were waiting until 5 minutes to departure time to board us. Our flight was only 1/3 full. Which was nice-- we were able to seat 2 to a row and stretch out. The flight home was really bumpy though-- we only had about 20 min- of a 2.5 hour flight w/o seatbelts. We flew non-stop and arrived about 10 minutes early. We came home to bitter cold--it was really depressing. I actually cried alittle on the flight home. I was sad. So many months of planning-- and then it's over just like that. I took out my digital camera and looked at all my pictures on the flight. I wanted another week-- and couldn't believe that just yesterday I wanted to be home.

On the flight home-- DH confessed he really wanted to go somewhere else for our next trip. My next heartbreak--- I didn't and still don't understand why. He says he wants to wait to go back to Disney until 2005 (?) when the parks are all opening new rides. We have taken 3 Disney trips in the last 18 months-- and he says he needs a break. I think keeping track of so many people was just too much for him. It left a bad taste for him. I left w/ the one happy thought being that I was coming back twice in 2004 (Feb & Nov). I guess we are now looking at Hawaii or the Bahama's (sp?) for Feb-- and MAYBE Disney in Nov-- which is sooner than 2005-- so I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Until my next trip-- I will get my Disney fix from all of you-- thanks for reading-- and I hope you each find magic and pixie dust on your trips!!!!:D

I have really enjoyed reading your trip reports. :) I know what you mean about leaving WDW. We are going in December, and even though I am excited about getting there I don't want it to be over with so soon. I guess I can't have it both ways, even though it would be nice. :p I was happy to hear that a group of 12 was managable even though sometimes there are moments. We are a group of 8 going; Myself, DH, DD1, DD2, DS, DM, DB, & DSIL. I realize that we won't be able to be together all the time as my DB and DSIL will want some time alone. I am ok with that as long as we spend some time together.

Glad you had a great time and was willing to share with us. :sunny:

Thanks for your reports - I enjoyed them and especially give you lots of credit for making plans for a herd of newbies! It's always a challenge to please everybody.

I think they should have given you the master bedroom for making all the plans... ;)

I really enjoyed your reports. THnaks for sharing!

Thanks for the trip reports. My spouse feels the same way about not going back to Disney for awhile. I will have to find a different travelmate for a "quick" fix trip!:yo-yo:

Hey, how about taking DH on a Disney cruise in November? My husband and I took one (without the kids) in Feb. 2003 and he is hooked on Disney cruising. It was just a three day cruise but it was really fun. Just an idea!princess: princess: :Pinkbounc
