12 days out,just called to request room, getting nervous

Good morning all. I just called WBC and requested Tower 5- Fireworks view. I know that it is not guaranteed for our Deluxe 2BR. Also, we wont arrive until about about midnight on the night of 6/2. I wonder if arriving so late will affect the room request availability?

Requests, as you know, are not guaranteed, but once you request, it is put into their system. Arriving late shouldn't affect your request. Good luck and have a 'magical' time at DW!!

We arrive this Wednesday. I requested building 5 fireworks view also. I have come to terms with accepting whatever I get In fact the janitors closet would be just fine as long as I am at WDW (really hoping for Building 5). Have a great vacation !!

If you want to have fireworks view, you need to be high up, like floor 8 or higher i think. Last trip I requested "higher up floor fireworks view unit" no building. On checkin, I was first given building 5 4th floor on parking lot side. I told them I had requested higher up floor for fireworks view and that i really didn't care what building if they had anything else available - but I understood my request was not guaranteed, just asking. I was giving a room in tower 3 with both fireworks AND lake view. It was nice.

I have gotten my request 3 out of 4 times.....the one time we did not get it was in prime season when we had a shorter stay and checked in on a tuesday...... but we still had a nice unit with a nice relaxing golf course view.

Tower 2 has an awesome fireworks AND lake view, plus the rooms are all redone w/no torn couches and granite countertops. It's gorgeous!!

eta - not implying you should change your request if you really want 5, just letting you know about another option!
