$12 Airtran Coupon - Deal is Dead

Where exactly do you enter it in on the web-site? Is there a spot for it by each passenger's name?

When you get to the very last page and Airtran wants your payment, you click the button that says coupon or discount code (I don't remember what it said but it's near the top on the left side). It will open a few more boxes for you to enter your code in. You can add one coupon per passenger on each itinerary. They don't go next to a passenger name, but you'll see the $12 come off the running total for each coupon you enter.

I've already purchased our tickets for November, so I emailed Airtran customer service to see if I could still use the coupons. (I got 3. one for each of us) Two days later, I received an email saying that the 3 coupons or $36, would be credited to my account for use on a future flight. I love Airtran.

I just got off the phone with airtran for another issue but asked them about using the voucher to pay the luggage fee. I was told I could however their online luggage payment has been down for quite awhile and she did not know when it would be back up.

Of course I should have asked a follow up question like can I take the voucher to the desk and use it if the site is down? But I had been on the phone so long with them earlier I just got off quick before thinking.

Yeah, somehow, for every coupon I've seen from airtran, their valid time always ends a couple weeks before my trip! Argh! This one ends Dec 16 and my trip is Jan 2 - 9! Oh well, still like AT but this coupon thing gets frustrating, lol.

Try powering your cable/DSL modem on and off. This will likely reset the IP address for your computer (how computers are assigned on the Internet). I was having troubles after my first couple of coupons, but after cycling the power on my modem I was able to get several more coupons. The emails come instantly.

Gives you a $12 off coupon code per email address. You can use one code per passenger on an itinerary. You can also use it to pay for seats if you've already booked but didn't pay for seats (like me).

I also found a cool website to get temporary/disposable email addresses. Using this, I was able to get 8 coupons in about a minute using this site: http://www.mailinator.com/

Because my trip to MCO was on 1 itenerary, and my trip back home was on another, I was able to use the coupons to buy seats for the four of us coming and going (8 total coupon codes). I love Airtran!

I just got an email from an AirTran rep (Ariel Gentry), I had asked whether I could use the coupon to pay for my seats or baggage. She stated that the coupon is valid for a flight during the time period listed on the coupon only. She stated in the email that you can not use the coupon to pay for seat assignments or bagggage fees. Don't know what to believe since others here are stating that they used their coupons to pay for seats or they plan to pay for the baggage. Any info would be appreciated.

I have found very often, that if you call back, you'll get someone different, with very possibly a different opinion. I know that has happened to me with the airlines, phone companies, cable companies, and even Disney reservations!

You can definitely use it to pay for seats if you do it online. Just enter it in the coupon code.

I'm going to try it for luggage this weekend and will report back if no one else can confirm prior to that.

Note that I also received a reply from an Airtran rep that indicated it cannot be used for luggage or seats.

I DID use the coupons to pay for seat assignments on flights that I'd previoulsy booked but had not yet chosen seats. Try it, it will work.
