My wife and two daughters (ages 5 and 3) will be making our second family trip to Disney on 12/6-12/10. My mother and father will also be joining us.

As we plan our trip for these weekdays, what do you suggest?

Can you provide links to topics on this board OR suggestions yourself?

THINGS WE MUST DO

Osborne light show. I can't wait...it was spectacular two years ago, can't wait 'til this year.

Visit Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Animal Kingdom each at least once.

SHOULD WE

Do the candlelight processional and dinner package? (my daughters are non-eaters at these kinds of events)

Do the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party ? What day is the taping for the new year show going to be?

I'd appreciate any insight into this timeframe and these trips. I know that my girls will have as much fun as I always have at Disney. Thanks. LSUmascot.

Hi - I assume you are from Louisiana and just want to say - me too!! We live right outside of Covington!!

We'll be visiting Disney Dec 8-12!! Can't wait!! This is our fourth time visiting for the holidays!!

I would definitely recommend MVMCP!!! My DD loved walking down Main St and seeing the snow! The characters are really out and about at the party - and most of them have on their "Holiday" clothes!! Lines for the rides are really short - some rides are even a walk on!!

As for the Candlelight Processional, my DD loves the show - she likes all the singing! (And seeing the choir that looks like a Christmas tree!!!) If you are going to have dinner at a World Showcase restaurant anyway, I would suggest doing the package! My DD is not a big eater either, but I like doing the package so we don't have to stand in line as long.

Also, while walking around Epcot, be sure to let your girls make their mask at the Kidcot stations at each of the countries. My youngest DD loves making her mask and decorating it - even my teenagers liked making a mask!!!

Have a great trip - maybe we'll see ya there!!!!

I haven't been to MVMCP, but from what I hear, it is a must do. Do your 5 days include travel time or are those five full? If they include travel time, I'd do MVMCP first night if there's a party that night, as you won't have to have separate admission. Even if it's not a travel day, you could use the early part of the day to enjoy your hotel and pool. Then, I'd probably do Epcot world showcase the next day, which doesn't open until 11, so you could sleep in a bit, and close it out.....do your candlelight this night. I don't think you'll necessarily need a package at such a slow time, but if you want a nice dinner, anyway, it wouldn't hurt. The next day, I'd do Animal Kingdom until about 4 (time enough to see it all), then take a rest at the hotel, and then go to MK about 6 and close it. The next day, MGM.......it's a slower paced park, which you'll need after the day before, ending with Fantasmic and Osborne lights. The next day, I'd hit Epcot Future World, and then hop over to MK later in the afternoon to close again, unless it's travel day........in which case you may want to choose between more of Magic Kingdom or Epcot's Future World attractions.

Those are just my off-the-cuff thoughts........I didn't check park times or MVMCP times for your dates, nor did I check early entry schedule, and you don't mention if you're staying on or off-site.

No matter what you do, you'll have a great time! I can't wait for our Christmas trip!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I'm going to be there too at that time.

We are going to the MVMCP on the 9th. We also have reservations to Chief Mickey's on the 6th. I have which parks we are going to planned out and marked what attractions we want to see at each park, the rest I'm going to leave up in the air.

Maybe you'll see me there. I have my Lime green tag on my backpack ::yes::
