12/6/08 Eastern ~ ***CURRENT ROSTER pg 68, post # 1007!

We just booked this today -- we rebooked a dummy date on board last month and waited for the ressies to be released today.

We're in a cat 5, room 7104. Sailing will be me and DH, DS who will be 9 1/2 and DD who will be 6 1/2. We loved our cruise last month and can't wait to go again!

Hi I am new to disboards, I am Princssdisny gina's sister and I am cruising on this cruise; my first cruise and I am excited.
Anyway how do you book a dummy date?

Anyway how do you book a dummy date?

When you are onboard if you don't know when you want to travel or if it was for a date in the future that isn't out, you book a date in the future that is available as a "dummy date" and then move it let's say....tomorrow!

I'm outta here until after 2010 bookings settle down :)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING !!!!! To the other Canadians on our thread.

I ate way to much pumpkin pie this weekend!

Hey Joy! Are you looking forward to going on this trip or something....? Thanks again for all your efforts at organizing everyone who wants to meet before the cruise! :wizard:

Oh you're lucky I don't have time to post the countdown EVERY morning, lol!

and my update of the day... I think we're going to ditch Coki Beach and Coral World on St. Thomas... we'll probably do an island tour and a little shopping at the mall... I don't want to run the risk of being late back to the ship... and we will have been at the beach all day the day before. Someone said the beach is the place to be in St. Maarten and the shopping is what to do in St. Thomas.... so be it!

Hello fellow shipmates :) I've been out of the loop for so long and now am getting more and more excited!!! Any plans or reservations already made?

I believe many of us have made plans and reservations! Lots of Palo reservations on here as well as excursions!

My group is scheduled for Palo on Saturday evening but hoping to change that to Tuesday evening once on board.

We are not doing an excursion in St. Maarten - shopping all day!
BUT, we are getting a private yacht for 5 hours in St. Thomas and doing the Sea Lion swim at Coral World.

We are going without our kids, just my husband and myself :) Yippee!!

What is the best way to get to the Port from a Disney resort (besides the Magical Express/Cruise bus)? Anyone know of any cheap car rentals? Thanks :) It's just the two of us so the bus seems a little expensive.

I do not know about cheap car rentals because you still have to pay for parking at the port! We are taking a town car from WDW to the Port and back.

We are a group of 4 adults... or 4 big kids... however you want to put it! :dance3:

51 Days as of midnight!!!!!!!. Anyone else getting excited? We are about to break the 50 day mark! If you want I would volunteer for the Countdown Job!
Are we going to get together in the CC Terminal for a group shot before boarding? I have a Mad Hatter hat that I could wear so we could meet up for the photos. We plan to be at the terminal between 10 and 11.
We are renting a car from Hertz (2 miles from the ship--has a free shuttle that leaves and picks up (at the end of the cruise)every 15 minutes. That way we don't have to pay for parking. Oh, we are coming in Friday and staying at the Hampton Inn near the airport. Then we will drive to CC. No port parking fees! They seemed to be the best deal. Also picked up a coupon from AAA for either a discount or a one level upgrade for the car.
With 4 Adults we are going to have to get an SUV of some sort for all of us and the luggage! Anyway, maybe that will help someone out with the questions on Transportation to the Terminal.
We are going straight from the ship back to WDW to attend Mouse Fest. The meet is from 10-1 at the Yacht Club. Anyone else going?:yay: :cloud9:
Have a MAGICAL 52nd Night! Lady Disneyprincess:

I just noticed that we are at 991 for number of Posts since Bubba's Mom started this thread! Thank you! :cool1: Do you think that we could break 1000 by midnite tonight (October 14, 2008)? This is a challenge that I am throwing out there into cyberspace.
Remember 1000 by midnite tonight!:thumbsup2

We still don't know who we are going to get to the ship or where we are going to stay the night before. We did look into staying at a resort and going into a park for one day but it is pretty expensive.

I will have other Dis friends that are in WDW that week so I wanted to meet up with them. Now to convince my hubby that we should do it other thing.

Oh, I just realized that the post was from earlier today.... so am I just talking to myself?

Is anyone planning to re-book a future cruise while onboard? We might book another dummy date -- I think we are going to wait until one of the new ships comes out... I am hoping for a Hawaii itinerary, but wouldn't cry if it was Caribbean again :)
