12/6/08 Eastern ~ ***CURRENT ROSTER pg 68, post # 1007!

Okay, I updated the first post -- did I forget anyone?

Looks like we have quite a few late diners! Tana and I are going to link up for an 8-top this time... last time they had us at 2 separate 4-tops and we were running back and forth around the server station every meal....

I'd be happy to try to coordinate tables with the dining person on the ship if everyone wants to sit together or in the same general area.

The updates look good to me Joy!

Did everyone see the new Hawaiian resort Disney is planning to build? We have been back and forth about a Hawaii trip and finally decided to wait and book this cruise instead, and now I'm so glad because we can save Hawaii until the new disney resort opens there, and maybe combine it with a cruise too?!?!?

With almost everyone in late seating it almost makes me want to switch but I am still too nervous with my kids. I really think that both my kids will eat fast and then want to go to the club which means DH and I may actually get to enjoy and eat dinner on this cruise. ;) If they do that then late dinner might be quite nice but then again if they get tired and crabby that late they may not want to stay in the club and then we will have problems with them at dinner. Decisions, decisions.....

I found us on the 3rd page so I thought I would give us another bump to the top. :tigger:

Becka, I would love it if you were at dinner with us but I understand how hard it is when they are so little! What time do they usually eat at home?

Tana - We usually eat by around 6 PM most weeknights - earlier on the weekends. My kids are usually starving as soon as we get home and often need a snack before we eat. We could pretty easily get snacks for DD to hold her over but with DS's allergies snacks could be very hard to find. He really needs to eat a good dinner each night since other food options will be so limited for him. I think we (as a family) will be happier with early dining but I will miss the fun you guys will have in late dining.

Hi folks! :wave2:

We booked this cruise while we were onboard the Magic (Western) Sept. 22-29! Originally planned to book it as a placeholder so we could think about when we want to go ... but it's beginning to look like this is a good time for us! For now, we're Cat. 5, SR 7558, late dining.

It is just the two of us for the cruise: Me (Penny - "Lucky Penny" on the DIS) and DH (Bob - "scottrob" on the DIS) - young at heart, and on our own with the kids grown and most importantly self-supporting! :cheer2: We both still work full time but are starting to define how we want semi-retirement to look in a few more years:
:beach: :drive: :artist: :moped: :car: :sail:
?????
and where we want to live - definitely not here in Washington DC-burbia!

One DS, DDIL, and our two darling little granddaughters live in Orlando, so we spend much of our leave time visiting WDW. :earsboy: :earsgirl:

Looking forward to getting to know you all over the next year or so! :grouphug:

My avatar is a picture of us from the Magic when we were headed to dinner at Palo!

We'll be in the early dining too, so you won't be all alone! With a 2 yr old and an almost 5 yr old (at the time) I don't think we're up for late dining!!

Penny - Welcome aboard!! I saw that you live in Northern Virginia and thought I'd chime in as a fellow NoVA person. We live out near Dulles Airport. It'll be fun to know some local folks on the cruise!

You have to upload the pictures from your computer to a website like shutterfly or here to the DIS photo gallery. You then post the image with image "tags" here on the posts. There is lots of helpful info over on the tech board to help you get it all figured out.
