We picked a cat 3 #8534, because we liked #8034 so much on our 3 night cruise last Sept. I hope this room is not to noisy, I will be soooooooooooooo glad to finaly be there I don't think I will even notice if it is.

I totally am! I even started my pre-trip report for the trip 15 months out

I am not quite obsessing but considering that we do have a WDW trip planned for November I am thinking about the cruise a bit too much. I am sure once I get back I will really be obsessing...not that there is anything wrong with that.

I am not obsessing over this one yet. I have my upcoming WDW trip in Oct to keep me busy. But after that, watch out, my obsession has to go somewhere.

Oh Becka, I had forgotten about the whole pot pie controversy, that was quite the hubbub!!! I am missing my girls trip to North Carolina this month but I may have to get out the pot pie in front of the ocean picture and relive some memories. This is so funny because last week, dh asked me to make beef pot pie, totally out of the blue, I haven't ever made one before. I'll take a pic just for you. It won't have an ocean background, but you can be sure that it WILL have a crust on it!!!

For some reason that picture you took was just one of the funniest things we had going on that thread. And with all the crazyiness that is saying something. Your name is now forever linked in my mind to chicken pot pie. Of all the things you probably would hope to be associated with I am sure that was not in the top 10.

The chicken pot pie thing is kind of hard to explain but I will try. Somehow chicken pot pie came up as a topic of conversation on our 12/09/06 cruise thread - someone must have been making it for dinner - and there was a difference of opinion regarding what exactly chicken pot pie really was.

There was one side (the right one ) that insisted that chicken pot pie is chicken, veggies, gravy, etc. with a crust. The other side said that it was just the chicken, veggies and gravy stuff cooked in a single pot. It actually became a huge joke over on our thread for some strange reason.

Then enters Tana who on her beach vacation to NC decided to solve the issue once and for all. She went to KFC and ordered chicken pot pie and then posted the picture as proof that chicken pot pie does indeed contain a crust. The other side to this day still refuses to relent but they are just kidding themselves since we have photographic proof.

It just cracks me up that Becka brought that up right away when I posted!! I was on a girls weekend at a beach house in the outer banks, NC and the food someone cooked that day wasn't so hot (no big deal, you know how hard it is to cook for 20 people at a time, and I am something of a picky eater)... well these folks in the cruise thread had been discussing pot pie in detail for several days and I started to get hungry for one!! So I googled KFC, grabbed 2 friends and we went on a quest. It was kind of a debacle finding it, none of us is from the area, and one of my friends that went on the quest said at one point "all this for a d*** pot pie"... this is now a catch phrase among the 3 of us. But we couldn't tell anyone else that weekend what we were doing because we didn't want to hurt the feelings of the girls who were doing the cooking.

This year in April those 2 friends visited me in MN for a weekend along with one other who was also there but didn't go on the quest. Of course "all this for a d*** pot pie" came up a few times and we had to explain the whole story in detail again. I know, I know, it's probably a you had to be there thing. But now you guys know the full and complete pot pie story, as well as a scary glimpse into my weird sense of humor, hee hee!

I keep looking at the picture of the day for disboards and it seems like our cruise will take forever to get here. When you really think about it ...it will be here before we know it but oh the waiting!!!
