I was part of a "test group" for their new procedure when I was out west last fall. Better than sitting on the floor for an hour!!! But some people still "didn't get it" and anxiously lined up, which caused a domino effect of anxious queuing. It'll work great when everyone gets used to it!
BTW, it took me over a year to get used to SWA's open seating. I hated it and the whole line up thing. But they are the easiest to get free flights with, and they finally won me over! (the 24 hour before check in certainly helps too!).![]()
Anxious queuing

When we flew SW home from Orlando 9/1, we got a B pass (checked in and printed it on the ship). I was worried about Sarah possibly having to sit alone, so we got a disability pass for her. Only one parent was allowed to go with her, so Ed went, but I was able to join them when the B group boarded.
