12/6/07...Anyone with us?

We're in the same boat, AlohaBob. (pun alert) We've been on 6 DCL cruises, but this is our first trip on the Wonder and our first trip to Nassau.

OMG, I'm a Disney virgin. Again. Cool!:rotfl:

I here ya on the Disney virgin thing, it's been over two years since my wife and I have set foot on WDW soil, we visited DL in 2006, we had been taking at least two trips a year to WDW for years prior to 2005. We had better start making our pilgrimage back each year before I lose that magic feeling.

So much has changed at Disney since our last visit, can't wait to see it all.

sigh, I edited my above post to update my itinerary, but it didn't take.:headache:

ok:

GrayFal Party Bus to the Port: Yes! (Twinnies, we are riding with everyone to the Port, and then have to wait there for Grandma to pick us up...)

GrayFal Busline to the AIRport: No. Our flights are later in the day, so I expect we'll visit with family in the area.

Palos: No, thanks, not this cruise. I need to save room for Pluto's Dog House.

Nassau: undecided, but won't be taking an excursion. Might taxi to Atlantis for a little walk around the joint, possibly leave the boys on the ship. Mom wants to take a look at the Nassua offerings.

Castaway Cay: might rent bikes for a little while. Twins will probably want to play on the water gym at the Family Beach, so will have to spend time there. I am hoping to do lunch at Serenity Bay. Last year we got to SBay just as lunch was opening up - totally empty! It was lovely. Mom would like to spend time lounging in a tube at SBay.:beach:

Hoping that Herc is still there, as Mom hasn't seen it!

Am very excited since booking this cruise. It's inspiring to give new effort to losing some weight. I've started by going on my own special Brach's Candy Corn diet. Fills you up and keeps you going with a renewed sugar buzz all day long! Also keeps my dentist gainfully employed.;) ::yes::

hello shipmates, final payment was made yesterday :woohoo: we made it a little early only because our travel agent is on a working vacation down in WDW tough job but as she puts it "someone has to do it".
Now what to do in Nassau ? any suggestions from you vets, we've never been to Nassau before.

I am not sure who is in your group, but here are some things we have done.

Ardastra Gardens tour. It was good for kids and adults. Loved the Flamingo show.

Dolphin swim...Well worth the money

Cat sail and reef Snorkel...It was good, but I would not do it again

Blue lagoon beach day...beautiful area and very relaxing
Edited to add(does not seem to be offered any more)

Personally, I HAVE to get off the ship just to say I've been there. Probably will do a little walk around the Atlantis, and maybe dine at one of the restaurants for lunch? Then back to the ship for possible massage and dinner with PAT at Palo's if she'll have us!

As cheap as I can be, I have to get off just becasue I paid the port charge. I am not about to pay them for nothing. At a minimum they will have to check my passport. I may have them give me directions just to get the bonus plan.:thumbsup2 Now Pat has never seen a dollar she has not questioned before she spent it, so what is her plan. No doubt Lincoln will be screaming.:lmao:

Hahahhahahhahahaha........screaming Lincoln, very funny :sad2:

My plan is to go over to Atlantis around 1:30ish after a relaxing morning and lunch on board to walk around and throw my money away (Tom is giving me 2 rolls of quarters) and then come back - it is a beautiful hotel and worth a look - water taxi over, regular taxi back.

PALOs that night at 8 - peg J and Jackie - are u in?

Serenity Bay on Saturday for me......

Thanks for the update on transpo Jen.....

for those that just got off the magic - is the photopass option now onboard? :surfweb:

did anyone else notice that linda called our "ship" a "boat"? doesnt that mean she has to buy first round? :thumbsup2

we are not getting off in nassau - we are doing massages and relaxing!! :3dglasses

hi sarah! :cheer2:

.....

Yes, count us in for the group Palo. I spoke to Barb yesterday..WHEN I PAID OFF THE CRUISE..and she will try and work her magic for the private room for us that night. I also 'officially' requested TAP rotation for us. Since she is on the 4 day right before us, she will speak personally to the group dining person she knows about our requests too. Be sure to share any of your requests with her. Her cruise will be number 60!!! :scared1:

I think I'm going to snorkel on CC early in the day. I thought about the eco tour, but I don't know if I can handle a jet ski??? I can barely manage a golf cart! :lmao:

Janice...I thought the photo pass type thing was supposed to show up in October/November.....wonder if it will only be on one ship for a test run...wonder if it will be the Wonder????

ok. my entire message just disappeared as I was finishing this :confused3 ;crap, wonder if the IT Police at work are on to me?!!!:scared1: Quick, Hide Me!!!

Jackie, my modus operendi is always to snorkel first thing at CC. I may bring my snorkel gear, if it's not too much a pain to pack. I do recall, however, that the water was a bit frigid in the a.m. on our November 06 cruise; too cold for the kids. I toughed it out, they went swimming later in the afternoon after it warmed up a bit.

My mom enjoys snorkeling on CC too.:fish:

Jet skis are a BLAST!!!! If you haven't tried it before, what better way than on a CC tour?! Go for it!:thumbsup2

Well the cat is out of the bag. My nosey Dsis found my DN's name at the bottom of our list on the shore excursions page. So now she knows he DD will be joining us. Whew, Pat, at least we do not have to talk in code anymore.

Okay, we talked at length last night and my cheap but does not want to pay 95. to jet ski. So we are just going hang out at serenity bay and maybe rent a bike. On Nassau we are going to just walk around and then go back to the ship. This may be a cheap cruise as well.

There was no photopass on the Magic 2 weeks ago.

Jen...I just booked my snorkel equipment rental, so I'm all set. Hey, I learned to swim in Lake Michigan...I know cold! But you are right, I've been in the water at CC a whole month earlier than this cruise, so it could be pretty darn 'refreshing'. I think I'll wait on the jet ski to see how the diet/exercise goes. I'll probably be braver when I'm more fit :thumbsup2

Pat, I have a Palo reservation already for Peg & I, so I'll need to cancel that when you are ready to book the group one...just let me know when you are going to do that.

Still lots of Palo openings for any who are worried.

Has the Pat Express been booked...how much $$ are they per person...gotta put it in the budget!

Time to hit the shower and get this day started.

Good morning all!

I recall earlier in this thread the mention that the space shuttle was scheduled for our departure date. Is that still a go? Would we be able to see it from the ship?:confused3

Hi fellow cruisers! I haven't posted in quite awhile and it's been interesting reading all your updates.

I just went online today to book Palo and shore excursions. They did have Parasailing available on CC - I booked it for 2-3pm (last available is 3-4pm). We parasailed in the morning last time and it was a little choppy on the boat - I'm hoping the afternoon breezes will be calm. When we get off the ship we will rent bikes and explore the island and climb up the observation tower, stop for lunch at Serenity Bay, lounge around a little, then go parasailing. Last time we snorkeled with the stingrays and that was really fun.

I need to read some Navigators and find out what time the shows are scheduled so I'll know what time to reserve dinner at Palo. I signed up for 6pm on our Nassau night, but might change that.

We've done the Ardastra Gardens and Zoo tour which was fun, especially the flamingo show, but probably won't do it again. Trying to decide what to do in Nassau. We walked around and bought a couple t-shirts last time. Ran into a lady who picked up the discount book during the shipboard shopping orientation, and she was carrying all kinds of bags full of discounted and free stuff that she had acquired from local merchants.

We rented points from a DVC member and will be in a studio at VAK for 5 nights after the cruise - we're really excited about that! And, my good Disney buddy Karen and I will be doing a girls-only trip in mid-October for a long weekend. We have a studio at OKW and will be attending MNSSHP on Oct 21st. Got our itinerary and ADRs all planned out and bought the DDP so we can sample some things we wouldn't normally try, like Spoodles.

My DH is most excited about the shuttle launch. Traffic is going to be terrible going to Canaveral, according to a lady who lives near the port, so leave plenty of time to get there. We'll be at the Radisson at the Port the night before (big splurge for us, but no way are we doing Fawlty Towers  again).

Okay, 'nuff from here. Thanks for keeping me entertained with all your plans. I requested the last seating (6:30?) at main dining and it's just the two of us, so if there's someone out there who'd like to join us, send me a note. See you all you guys and gals soon!

Hey Hannosmom, check it out! A Disser who not only references Fawlty Towers with ease, but even spells it correctly! :worship: Oh, I think we will be getting along with Tikihula just fine!:thumbsup2

:rotfl: :lmao: We're pretty easy to get along with! And I'm an excellent speller!! :yay:

Hello everybody! I am a little more energized now than I was... a long and busy week. First business travel and our office moved this weekend. WHEW! I'm ready for a massage on the beach! I actually just had one, and it was my first one on the beach, and I LOVED the sound of the waves in the background. It really added to the experience.

Hey - is there a way to book a massage at ATLANTIS??? I wouldn't mind trying out their spa! I can look at their website and book it I suppose. COOL - is that the night we'll be at Palo - hey sister have you updated the itinerary?

Also, Janice/Linda have you gals decided what you are doing on CC??? We aren't jet skiing this trip right? It was so much fun... also the banana boat was a blast as well.

I am bringing my snorkel equipment -because I just loved that experience as well. Ok, who am I kidding... I didn't have a bad experience the ENTIRE trip!

"we are laying on serenity bay and doing nothing" and right now - that is what i wish i was doing! we did have fun with you guys on the family side last time - and we have yet to dive to see mickey - so - i might be able to talk her into that :beach:

pat - we too want to be on the "pat express" - please let us know what we owe too! :sail:

hey dee! i appreciate your answer on the photopass - but that wasnt what i wanted to hear . . . would you like to try again?

hi sarah! we are eagerly awaiting a new scrap page for our fridge from your last cruise - please send it quick! linda checks everyday! :tinker:
