12/6/07...Anyone with us?

- arrival should be by 10:15-10:30ish....unless this totally doesn't work for you  and we can re-think it :confused3

Wha da ya think?

TOTALLY works for me!!! I'm an early terminal type!

I'm thinking of not telling the twins; haven't told them yet. Thinking maybe we'll tell them we're bringing you guys to the port, let's hang out a while in the terminal...but don't know at what point/how to give them the news. after the second night on the shiP?!!:rotfl:

See above, would like to book bus by next Thursday.....my flight isn't until 1:30 or 1:50

Our flight out of MCO is 12:45p

We're still 'homeless' and could be for weeks yet....unless we give up and just go with Plan B - Port Orleans FQ. I waver daily on this--the planning fanatic wants a place now....but don't want to toss away the change for a GREAT 2 bedroom just because of impatience.

Stateroom situation won't be finalized till Monday...several variables...may be keeping our group reservation and just upgrading catagories.

Here's my new favorite thing.....listening to Radio Margaritville on my computer while DISing the DCL threads.....so mood enhancing! Pass my shaker of salt!

.

I'm not paying for a tour of Atlantis as I've been told that you can just walk around and swim, etc. Also, that most of the aquarium visits are free and the one you have to pay for isn't worth it, you won't be missing anything. My next door neighbor went to the front desk at the hotel and they got a private tour free... personally I am torn about even getting off the ship that day... but I most likely will. For a short site see at the hotel and then back to the suite!

No free swimming, at least not "legally", you need a wrist band. Though I don't think any of us were planning on hanging out there for swimming anyway.

Since we would be PROBABLY stopping at 2 resorts - Saratoga and wherever the 'homeless' end up....I was thinking 8:30ish for us with a second stop around 8:50 for them.....be on the road by 9 and since it takes a bit longer to get to the port from WDW then from MCO - arrival should be by 10:15-10:30ish....unless this totally doesn't work for you  and we can re-think it :confused3

Wha da ya think?

I can live with a 9AM (OK 8:50) departure.....note to self: no Jellyrolls or Adventurers Club Wed night.....

We are going to the SHIP!!!!!
Get your rear out of bed!

Pick up at the ship will be 8:30ish after breakfast
- if we go with the 8pm seating - our breakfast will be 7:30.

That is a good plan....we are all leaving the resort together - and dropping the ship people of first because your flight is later.....but when the porters take their bags off the bus 'by mistake' :rolleyes1 at the port, you might have to mention it :rotfl2:

Okey Dokey!

okay, we are booked on Deck 2, and I just changed our flights to Sunday, so whomever is keeping the list of cruisers on Page 1 - add my clan to the group!:cool1:

Also, want to give a SHOUT OUT to AlohaBob, Tikihula, Andy and family and all the Dissers I haven't had the pleasure to meet yet!!! I met Pat and Linda and Sarah on my family's first cruise in Nov 2004 - how lucky was that!:grouphug: And I have "met" via DIS all these other crazies in the group through Pat and Linda and Sarah (and, got to meet FairyGodMother for brunch!).:dance3: So glad to be sailing with a great group of people; can't wait to meet y'all!

This will be me, DM (Janet) and DS twins aged 10. DH and DS14 can't join us, and are heartbroken, but gave us the green light! I will try to assuage their pain by rebooking onboard for the New Year's Magic sailing for 2008/9.

So far I haven't told the twins and think it will be fun to keep it a surprise. The MVMCP folks will still be able to talk openly about it, just Mom and me will play that we're not going with you. hmmm, I'd better clue her in to that plan!:rotfl: DMom is SO excited about this sailing! She really loved our Magic cruise last summer!

hmmm, Andy, I think you posted that your MVMCP night was very cold. How cold is that? Do I need to pack winter jackets, or just sweatshirts? Also, for the cruise, am I stupid to even think of packing shorts?:confused3

Was so sad not to be able to come on the Med Repo, and so EXCITED and glad to be sailing with y'all now!!! Thanks for letting me join the 12/6 gang!:cheer2:

i love rockin roller coaster - i had to squeeze in one more ride before we left so i suggested we do that single rider line which moved much faster and was still as much fun!

Janice, my mom LOVES rock n roller coaster!! I expect she and DwinK will ride several times! DTwinR will want nothing to do with it! :scared1:

I have been known to wait 45 minutes to ride, only to freak out at the last second and exit, stage left. But in my defense, I DID get back on the horse and ride it later!:)

Hi Bob,
phew! I was afraid I scared everyone away with my hyper posting! I can't believe how excited I am to be taking this Wonder jaunt; I had been booked all along for a Christmas cruise that I just couldn't get excited about (it was always 'up in the air'). It is neat that I get to have this one to fall back on, and that it is coming up so soon! -Bob, is your ticker for THIS cruise? is it broken?!

I will be at WDW before the cruise, joining a few of these Dissers for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. That's how I ended up tagging along for the cruise at the end. :thumbsup2 It will be my Mom and twin sons, aged 10. As Linda puts it, we (my family, NOT Linda! lol) like to do Commando Park-ing, and will be hitting all the parks, from opening til close!!! :rotfl:

Hi Jen, no I set my ticker for my cruise next year (Oct) aboard the Wonder, I tried to put two tickers but for some reason it only takes one.

LOL we do the same thing Commando Parking that is, we try and do as much as possible in each park, up early and out late is our motto!

Hello PoohJen and welcome aboard!:welcome:
It will be nice for my family and I to meet all the dissers who have been on this thread since it was started so long ago. As for the MVMCP, it was very cold the night we went last December. Our 2 year old DD was so cold  that we needed to cut the night short. We got sweatshirts, but were still cold:cold: . I think the temp was not the norm as the rest of the trip was fine. (Not that it matters, but we have not had luck with these after hours events. I was soooo excited as I was the official first person to get tickets to the Pirates and Princess night last January. The head of the reservation system got on the phone with me after I had asked about the upcoming event. She said that they had not activated the ticketing yet, but were just wanted to "test it". It looks like I called at the right time as they did the "test" with me:cool1: . Anyway, throughout the night of the event last 1/23, it was pouring rain:umbrella: . My wife's parents lasted about a 1/2 hour (the time it took them to make it back to the front gate) from Fantasyland after our dinner at the castle. We lasted through the parade and a couple of rides, but not much longer. I am hoping this year's MVMCP will bring us more luck. We are going to WDW before (all 7 of us: 12/2 -12/6 at Animal Kingdom Villas)and after the cruise (5 of us: 12/9 - 12/11 at Villas at the Wilderness Lodge)and will go to the event on the night of 12/9. )

When you get up at the crack of dawn to head to the parks, bring me a cup of coffee, please.;)

Is everybody leaving the ship in Nassau? Sarah wants to stay on board. Lookes like Hercules will still be playing when we cruise, yay!

I'm glad Hercules will still be playing, as Peg hasn't seen it.

I keep wavering on the Nassau issue. I think Peg wants to go over and see Atlantis and I thought I might drop some money in a slot machine, but I don't see spending much time off the ship. Does anybody know about a great place for lunch????

Speaking of Peg, she gets home from Cabo today...can't wait to hear about all the places she 'checked out' for her company event. Our Panama Canal cruise makes a stop there, so it's nice she's been able to do some ground work for us! She did another DOLPHIN ENCOUNTER there....I'm so jealous!

ok....time to hit the shower and start another day of fun and excitement...

yes. Beach Blanket Bimbo, Pinocchio's, Goofy's Galley, Pluto's.....:teeth:

Jackie, have y'all made your back up hotel ressies yet? If not, get going Girl! You can always cancel if you need to! I've been in situations where POR gets sold out for needed dates! :sad2:

I am in constant planning mode. I will be leaving for Disneyland in 2 weeks and have everything there mapped out and planned.

Now I am trying to get this cruise finished. We are hoping to make a decision on Nassau soon. Castaway we may do parasailing or at least try again. I was also thinking of the wave runners.

Edited to add, that there are no parasailing available, so it looks like serinty bay (which we have never done) and possibly the wave runners.

I think I am gonna pass on Nassau and just walk around a bit then go relax at the adult pool, which I also have never done.

Oh, we've had back up room reservations for some time...at Port Orleans French Quarter...so we're covered there...have till about 10/18 for that decision.

I.

No parasailing available ON LINE....try when you get on the ship!!

Too bad you won't be at DL over the weekend.........I'd drive 6 hours to see you!

We are driving back to Vegas on Saturday and taking the red eye home. I wish I knew you were that close (I might have had I paid attention in geography class) becasue we could have met you half way or not cut the trip short.

It would have been nice to see you as well.

Well, we still have December to look forward to! :thumbsup2

hello shipmates, final payment was made yesterday :woohoo: we made it a little early only because our travel agent is on a working vacation down in WDW tough job but as she puts it "someone has to do it".
Now what to do in Nassau ? any suggestions from you vets, we've never been to Nassau before.

We're in the same boat, AlohaBob. (pun alert) We've been on 6 DCL cruises, but this is our first trip on the Wonder and our first trip to Nassau.

OMG, I'm a Disney virgin. Again. Cool!:rotfl:

Peg and I will be making final payment on our cat 5 today too! :cool1:
We were discussing our Palo needs last night...but I don't remember if we came up with a decision about when to go. I need to scroll back and see if Pat still needed/wanted folks in their group...or if we should go earlier that evening like Janice & Linda are???? What to do....what to do?????
