To do:

1. Buy printer ink so I can print more magnets
2. Finish making FE gifts
3. Redo my initial pathetic attempt to make t-shirts
4. Figure out football bowl schedule to ensure DH doesn't go into panic mode about missing crucial games (I myself will be getting a massage and not worrying about football)
5. Buy stuff like dry erase board and over the door shoe organizer.
6. Figure out how to pack as little as possible but still cover all weather possibilities.
7. Put together the Christmas gift the kids will open that tells them about the trip
8. Plan commando touring of MK for our one day in the park
9. Keep my mouth shut around kids so I don't spoil the surprise
10. Xmas cards and shopping for huge family and tons of teachers and coaches (almost done).

Jen, I just got the photo mat last week at Michael's. It was one specifically made for people to sign and was 50% off.

How are you going to tell your kids?

We are also surprising our kids with the trip. I got each of them a santa hat as one of their presents. I thought they could wear them at the MVMCP. I also created a 'scrapbook' & wrapped it on a huge box. The scrapbook has a note on the front to the kids. On the inside there is a page for everyday of our trip with a note about were we will be and what we are going to do. I can't wait for them to open it!

I get to mark 2 things off my to do list:

1) I went to the mall last night and got dress shoes for both my boys.
2) I wrapped christmas gifts for the kids while they were at school yesterday: santa hats & a scrapbook (that tell obout the trip).


My kids came home to find their presents under the tree. My DS
(13) says one of the presents is a piece of paper & the other is an Ipad. Very funny!

I finished putting together all my FE gifts, and I really don't know how I'm going to fit it in the FE holder (I packed a bag for each family)!

We will be celebrating wifes birthday. Any suggestions for something unforgettable for her? We are so looking forward too this (ok maybe me and little guy more than her)

Has anyone found out definitively when Pirate Night will be?

I called concierge a while back and he didn't give me a definitive answer about the pirate party because he says things are generally "subject to change", but in his opinion, it is likely not Dec 31st (NYE party), and he thinks it would happen on a sea day (so day 4).

I'm suddenly panicking - I feel like I've run out of time! The cruise is still a few weeks out, but we're heading to Orlando in a week, and I haven't even finished our t-shirts yet! Yikes!

re: wife's birthday - you can request a cake on one of your dinner days, but the concierge advised us that while it's "special" to get a cake, don't forget to save room for all the fabulous desserts being offered at dinnertime! I was thinking you could book the Exotic Rasul (it's for two, you could do that while little guy was in the kids camp), or the couples massage for two, or one of the private cabanas on Castaway Cay (now that's the ultimate in pampering, IMO, first class treatment!). Another suggestion I saw on another post was to get a day/trip pass to the spa for your wife, or even one of the other treatments (I'd go for any of the manicure, pedicure, facial, or massage ones, myself!) There is also a birthday package you can buy to decorate your stateroom, you can buy it online.
