Wow Arizona is a fire ball. Smelled it all the way up in Flagstaff. Drove past Stacey's and the smoke was horrendous. It reminded me of the fires in San Diego. Those can within a mile of our house. Scary.

Sorry Tisha I don't know the answer. Somebody will though.

The posting has really slowed down. I guess summer is a busy time for everyone.

HI We're home.....I guess the fires decided to come pretty close while we were gone, glad we weren't here to watch it. But all is well. We had to leave the windows open these last 2 nights, so the smoke smell would go away.
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

We arrived minus one suitcase, mine.....but they delivered it yesterday. After thinking of losing our whole house, one bag of dirty clothes seemed insignificant.
The gals at Southwest couldn't believe that I wasn't yelling at them!

We went to see the Titanic Exhibit...awesome. Scary how much it resembles the Magic/Wonder. Did you know that First Class passage on the Titanic was equivilant to today's sum of $35,000 to $48,000??? That makes the Walt and Roy look cheap!

Anyway, the kids had a good time. Probably the last time they'll go, until they're 21....but it was fun showing them the sights.

Back to doing the laundry....hoping to get it done early enough to go to the office for a couple of hours.

Welcome home Stacey. Glad to hear your home made it. Are you getting the ash as well? That was a clean up for about a year out here.

Another fun day here at work. I think I'll just flip out to get a rise out of my co-worker.

Tour de France begins this weekend. Go Lance go. What a stud. Sure gald I have him on my island.

Guess that's what happens when our own "Chatty Cathy" gets a job! (just havin' fun with ya, jEn!)

The fires are about 8 miles away still. Over 100,000 acres burned. No ash here, but just east of us it looks like it snowed. The smell is finally out of the house.

I shouldn't tease jEn....I have had to work too. The HORROR of it!

I am here! finally out of work. At least you don't have ash. When there were fires in canada, we got all the ash blown our way. It was poopy. hehe. Well my horse leaves for training tomorrow. Thats if we can get her in the trailer. hehe. The people are bringing and 18-wheeler to pick her up and another horse. Hope all the space is the key. Well, i am going swimming. I have off tomorrow. Oh no Stacey...poopy puppy syndrome. ewww.My heart goes out to you. Trying to potty train Kira right now. Its so cute. We have to ask her if she's poopy and in her little girl voice.she repies "no I no poopy". Makes my heart melt.

Wow Stacey, the sky has been insane to the east.Really smoggy looking. I can imagine it looked like that for you zoners when we had our fires.

Good luck with that trailer thing jEn. Is Boo going to horse boot camp? Does blindfolding help? The horse I mean. btw I like your new picture of Annakin alot better. Not so dark and evil looking.

Well Paul and I realized that we are going to have company 3 and possibly 4 times in the next two months. Everybody wants to go to the zoo. hmmm imagine that. I haven't seen my lions in 2 weeks. Maybe Sunday morning before the birthday party we have to go to.

And we are planning a trip to Disneyland for a couple of days Grand Californian here I come. We are going to meet up with Richard and Alison from the Christmas cruise. Lynda you remember the English couple? They are taking the return trip to Fl. Is the Magic leaving so soon? It seems like it just got here.

Hey Stacey, when are you going to be at Disneyland? Don't you have a trip planned for August? We are planning to go around the 15, 16, 17ish.

My horse is the worst in the barn. She poops every 5 minutes and they are big dumps. lol. I might come out to CA at the end of September Denise. Maybe we could meet up. I am coming out to look at colleges.

We just might be making headway with Ash. He slept in this am, instead of barking at the crack of dawn. He hadn't pooped or tinkled in his "playyard"...he went out and did his business outside!!
Then he started sneezing from all the smoke....the wind has shifted south again and it is stifling! No ore danger, though.

Had to laugh last night, Denise....we went to eat at a little deli...just as we walked in, a Grandma was bringing a little granddaughter out of the restroom....the little girl was runnning to her mommy ...."I pooped! I pooped!" The Mom about died and I about died laughing! Ahhh, the good old days.

Let me consult my travel guide.....August 12 through the 15th....have to leave Sunday night, because the kids' school will have started on the 11th...

UCSD and San DIego State are both good. UCSD is better and closer to the beach.

Oh fine Stacey, it seems we are just missing each other. Ships passing in the night so to speak. Have fun there. Do you have your Mr. Potato Head from California Adventure?

As for the laughs...A woman is out at a restaurant with her children when she smells something. She checks the babies diaper and then remembers that her son who is potty training hasn't been in a while. So she asks him," are you poopy? "the boy answers "no". she asks again and again. Finally the little boy stands up drops his pants and says "see mommy only farts".

Is anyone by any chance going to WDW between 8/24 and 9/3? Mean person that I am, I'm leaving the boys at home and going solo (it's a long story, which in part involves our having to cancel the Panama Canal cruise on the Magic going from LA back to FL... )

Anyway, if anyone is around...let me know!

Good for you Dee on both subjects. I wish I could go to DL by myself. There's so much I want to look at that I can't because of the kids and DDH. As for the walk... right on girl. That takes alot to do. Be proud of yourself.

We just returned from camping at the beach just south of Santa Barbara and the water was cold. We kept comparing it to the warm Caribbean water. My DH actually said we may have to sneak in another trip to the Caribbean before the cruise. After the talk about the Wild Animal Park I decided that I had to go because it has been too long. I am heading down south for a reunion of friends from high school this weekend so my DS and I are staying over to go to the Wild Animal Park on Sunday. It should be plenty hot.
