Happy Mother's Day

There is a small conflict in my home today. No resolution in sight. Today is Mother's Day. Ya know, the day I should be pampered and not have to lift a finger for anyone (well, "in theory" anyway). This year my darling husband's birthday (ya know, the day he is supposed to be pampered and not lift a finger for anyone) falls on, you guessed it, Mother's Day.

My argument is, of course, my holiday trumps his birthday.

Happy Mother's Day

Wow....that's a tough one. As a female, I think I would have to say that of course, MOTHER'S DAY far outweighs the birthday..........but in all fairness, yikes....nope...not getting in the middle of that one!!

ok now i am soooo sore from saturday
my black belt test was soo tireing it was like 4 hours for 12 people to test
we did sooo many push-ups because people didnt know the answers to some questions!
but it was worth it

Well happy birthday to Jimmy and make him make it up to you. Spa day is always good. I'm sure Stacy would agree.

Dh said he would cook dinner for me and my folks but that really meant that he would grill the steak and I would prep everything else. It's so funny...he has a dream of being a cook but when I try to get him into the kitchen he freezes up. Dinner was great and I love to cook so it was a fun day. I hope all you moms had a good one.

Its my last day of unemployment so I'm off to the beach with a girlfriend...sans kids.

I finally gave up earlier and went to work. Too slow for me.....

I had a tragic, traumatic end to my Mother's Day yesterday.

We've been watching the mama dove outside our kitchen window...on the window ledge, actually. SHe had just had her 2nd batch of babies....
Yesterday a bobcat jumped onto the windowsill and ate my babies!! I was hysterical....I ran screaming out the door, chasing it toward the creek....Jay had NO idea what was going on! He did want to know later, just exactly what I thought I would do if I caught up to the bobcat!!
I feel so bad....mama and daddy keep coming back and looking into the empty nest. It's sad.
