Congrats Jen!!!!

Quiet weekend here. Got my usual laundry and grocery shopping done with some housecleaning on the side. Brother and SIL are coming in on Friday so I have to finish that this week. I hate cleaning. Ugh.

I came across some things I had put away from our last cruise and it made me really want to go again NOW! But that ain't gonna happen. Oh well. Another year and some.... *yawn*

Tomorrow I get to go the parent-teacher conference for Samantha. First one of the year. I don't think it will be a problem, just wish it were closer.

I cannot stay awake today. I got to sleep at a normal hour last night so I am not sure what is up. Just feel bleah. Oh well, back to work.

Hi everyone,
We are from Boston UK (the original Boston.. :) ) it's a small Market Town on the East coast about 100 miles North of London. Yes we were on the 2004 cruise and enjoyed it so much we're doing it all again next year. Can't remember our stateroom no. but it's a Cat 8 on deck 7. Looking forward to meeting you all on board.

Mick & Lyn.

:smooth:

Hi Mick & Lyn, I was in your part of the world back in July. My mother, SIL and myself went to London between the bombings. We had a great time even though we were only there for a few days. We wandered all over London and went out to see Stonehenge. Unfortunately we didn't get anywhere else outside of town. That will have to be another trip.

Looking forward to hearing more from you on the board and to meeting you guys next year....

Hi Mick & Lyn!!

Any room for another Holiday '06? Going 12/3/05 Magic who knows where (Wilma decides). Man, you guys chat a lot more than the 12/3/05 group.

We're DH 41, DW 43., DS 9, DD 8.

Any other kids the same age?

Ken

Hi Ken. :wave2: Sure, there is always room for more. I have a dd9 who will be 10 by the time we do the 12/06 10 day.

gaRry, I am not sure what you are talking about. I have no problem with color and smilies. :flower: Maybe it is just your computer or something?

I feel bad for all the poor folks in Florida. All that flooding and more homes and other buildings torn up. I knew there was a reason I don't live near the coast, though. I hear Key West got quite a bit of water and flooding. Looks like the ports the Western cruise does will all be out of commission for a bit.

Well, time to wake up dd and get me ready for work and her ready for her 1/2 day of school. Today and tomorrow they have 1/2 days for parent-teacher conferences, then Thursday and Friday no school for fall break.

wow all these thread newbies. Guess i am going to be busy adding them to the list. lol.

ALL THREAD NEWBIES! email me at estelmiire@gmail.com or go to the 12/16/2006 cruise list site.

Thanks all. I am really happy about my score. I can't believe I was able to get a 700. That just blows my mind because there were still some questions I made an "educated guess" on.

Hey garry, maybe you should check out your screen settings. I can instruct you on how to do that if you need me too. Boo is doing well. She is learning how to slide and how to do spins and rollbacks. Stopping seems to be her favorite thing to do. Well, i am off to go make some pictures from negatives i took of Boo. Have a great day all.

Hi Ken:

I have a DD who will be 8 by the time of this cruise. She would love to meet some girls ahead of time.

Take care,

wow, i am absent for a few days (cough: more like 2 weeks cough) and there are so many new people. Maybe i should do my intro.... ...drumroll....

Hi! I'm Jen. From harrisburg, PA, USA. I am 17 (will be 18 at the time of the cruise [8/13]) and am a senior in high school. :teacher: I love  horses and own a filly named Sweet To Be Me (aka Boo). Just ask garry about her. I rodeo, scuba dive, and design websites. And, my biggest obsession besides horses is STAR WARS!

*You'd never know ... without movies*

  • During all police investigations, it will be necessary to visit a strip club at least once.
  • When they are alone, all foreigners prefer to speak English to each other.
  • If being chased through town, you can usually take cover in a passing St. Patrick's Day parade - at any time of year.
  • All beds have special L-shaped cover sheets which reach up to the armpit level on a woman but only to the waist level on the man lying beside her.
  • The Chief of Police will almost always suspend his star detective - or give him 48 hours to finish the job.
  • All grocery bags contain at least one stick of French Bread.
  • It's easy for anyone to land a plane providing there is someone to talk you down.
  • The ventilation system of any building is the perfect hiding place - noone will ever think of looking for you in there and you can travel to any other part of the building undetected.
  • Police departments give their officers personality tests to make sure they are deliberately assigned to a partner who is their polar opposite.
  • The Eiffel Tower can be seen from any window in Paris.
  • All bombs are fitted with electronic timing devices with large red readouts so you know exactly when they are going to go off.
  • If you need to reload your gun, you will always have more ammunition, even if you haven't been carrying any before now.
  • You are very likely to survive any battle in any war unless you make the mistake of showing someone a picture of your sweetheart back home.
  • Should you wish to pass yourself off as a German officer, it will not be necessary to speak the language - a German accent will do.
  • If your town is threatened by an imminent natural disaster or killer beast, the mayor's first concern will be the tourist trade or his forthcoming art exhibition.
  • A man will show no pain while taking the most ferocious beating but will wince when a woman tries to clean his wounds.
  • When paying for a taxi, don't look at your wallet as you take out a bill - just grab one at random and hand it over. It will always be the exact fare.
  • Kitchens don't have light switches. When entering a kitchen at night, you should open the fridge door and use that light instead.
  • If staying in a haunted house, women should investigate any strange noises in their most revealing underwear.
  • Mothers routinely cook eggs, bacon and waffles for their family every morning even though their husband and children never have time to eat it.
  • Cars that crash will almost always burst into flames.
  • All telephone numbers in America begin with the digits 555.
  • A single match will be sufficient to light up a room the size of RFK stadium.
  • Medieval peasants had perfect teeth.
  • Any person waking from a nightmare will sit bolt upright and pant.
  • It is not necessary to hello or goodbye when beginning or ending phone conversations.
  • Even when driving down a perfectly straight road, it is necessary to turn the wheel vigorously from left to right every few moments.
  • It is always possible to park directly outside the building you are visiting.
  • A detective can only solve a case once he has been suspended from duty.
  • It does not matter if you are heavily outnumbered in a fight involving martial arts - your enemies will patiently attack you one by one by dancing around in a threatening manner until you have knocked out their predecessors.
  • When a person is knocked unconscious by a blow to the head, they will never suffer a concussion or brain damage.
  • No-one ever involved in a car chase, hijacking, explosion, volcanic eruption or alien invasion will ever go into shock.
  • Once applied, lipstick will never rub off - even while scuba diving.
    • You can always find a chainsaw when you need one.
    • Any lock can be picked by a credit card or a paper clip in seconds - unless it's the door to a burning building with a child trapped inside.
    • Television news bulletins usually contain a story that affects you personally at the precise moment that it is aired.
