Everything packed except for what will be used today :bounce: :bounce: ...you know, shampoo, etc. Everyone travel safe...look forward to meeting you-TOMORROW!!!!!

Ahhhhhhh! If anyone's still there...Kev's poison ivy is spreading! He played in the woods a week or so ago and had a small rash. Today the rash started to spread. Yep, doctor visit. TODAY! Probably is going to need prednisone, poor kid.

So, if we don't show you'll all know that his poison ivy was not poison ivy but some dread communicable disease, and that I am laying in a drunken stupor somewhere. Otherwise, see you tomorrow! :sunny:

It's poison ivy...I'm sure of it....I'm sure of it....I'm sure of it.... pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Sherenna I 'm sure it's poison ivy...

Two summers ago we sent DS10 to sleep-away camp (in Clayton GA) for the first time. About a week before camp he developed a small rash on his hand that was poison ivy. In a few days it "cleared" and we sent him to camp. About a week later we got a call from camp that it was now all over his face! Poor guy. It had apparently become systemic. My wonderful DH dropped everything and went to Clayton and scooped him up and brought him home. He went on prednisone. A few days later I had to leave for a work related trip and while I was gone, DS decided he felt better and wanted to go back to camp. So, wonderful DH gets back in the car for the 7 hour trip each way to return him. Then of course a week after that it was time to pick him up for the end of the session. I made that trip!!

I am feeling a bit less frenzied today. I am taking the day off and I will get a pedicure and the van washed for the drive later today. We are aiming to pull out of here around 4 (which probably means 6) (as long as it doesn't mean 10 pm, we are ahead of the game).

See you tomorrow!

11:30 Pediatrician appointment...hope we're right. :goodvibes Was it Athens Y camp or is there another up there?

Sherrena, DH has poison ivy right now too! He got it from stacking wood on the wood pile last week. He is on predisone too. I probably should grab some Ivy Chek too and throw it in the bag. Everything except the last minute stuff is now packed, though I have to go by the costume store after I get off work and hopefully find a costume for Sam. Poor kid was not happy this morning when I told her the one we ordered won't be in until next week!

I just talked to one of my clients in Seattle this morning. They had massive power outages last night due to the winds. He said much of the city is still without power. I hope Susan and Angela are ok and their flights get out on time! Dee is already in Florida so it won't affect her.

Wow! Scary stuff in Washington. At least they both had some cushion and don't have to worry about things going REALLY wrong. Look at it this way...no flights in network news! :)

Bummer about the costume. Had a similar thing happen here, but was sorta my fault. Kevin is growing out of his old crocs, and wanted some from KU (where our family is from.) Ordered them and they arrived just fine. His old ones were size 5, so I got him a 6-7. Unfortunately, it was a 6-7 KIDS and fit his toe! Luckily he laughed about it, because it was going to be a surprise so his hopes weren't up. He'll get them, just after we get home. Oh well, the old ones will work.

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: It's poison ivy.....not even systemic, he's just spreading it. They gave us a prescription for prednisone which we can fill. I think we'll wait and do it in Key West if we have to. :cool1: :cool1: :yay: :yay: :yay:

Getting ready to start collecting children in about an hour, and leaving soon after...see everyone TOMORROW!!!

OK everybody.....

Have a great Christmas. Safe travels. Have one heck of a great time. We will be thinking of you all. I'll raise a glass on Christmas day. Someone for Gods sake have a cocktail on Castaway Cay for me.

Cheers and hello to Salvitore if anyone sees him.

Merry Christmas all,

D

Anyone else home yet? I am trying to weed through the laundry amidst my tears.

Yeah, we made it back home to Chicago about 7PM. Unpacking will wait til tomorrow as we had to open Christmas gifts tonight.

Welcome home eveyrone!!!! We made it back late last night and Sam opened her gifts from Santa, then we crashed. The rest will be tonight as I have to work today :sad2: .

Had a great time!!!!!

Judy and Jim----I can't wait to get my dolphin photos developed today. We will have to hope my little disposable did the job. (I had forgotten to put my darn battery back in the camera and found out once I started snapping pics.)That was the greatest excursion. Thanks again for sharing the charter with us.

Sarah--we also had fun with your family on the eco adventure. The kids had a great time after the boat broke down didn't they. For all of our other DIS friends----Sarah and I and our families went on this eco adventure of Antigua. It was great fun and great food. The boat ran out of gas right in the middle of the shark infested bay. We were not really sure if we would make the Magic or not as it was leaving in around an hour. Luckily we had not paid the man yet and he got us off onto another boat after awhile of sitting there wondering if anyone was coming. I guess it was a good thing for him, that it was a great day before the gas episode.

Kat--I never did meet you but I sent Drew over to talk to Samantha one day in the pool when I saw her. I looked around but did not see you.

Jen--I saw a couple of people I thought might be you but never could tell. Did you have a good time?

Heidi--I met you at the soda machines.

Thank you everyone for all the really great goodies.

A special thanks goes out to Thistle my Florida buddy. That was so thoughtful of you. I cannot believe the personalization. (and you are so welcome) I wanted so badly to meet up with you. I knew we would have a lot to talk about. I can't find your email anymore. If you read this email me.

I think I have just about gotten all the cruise laundry done. Now ----sheets, towels.....

I have cruise laundry and my laundry from the week before we left! Since I am at work today I have to wait until tonight to start it. It will probably take several days to get it all done! Plus all the unpacking has to be done and stuff put away!

Tonight we are opening presents so that will, of course, take priority over :laundy: and unpacking! Looks to be another late night for me, however, as I need to get both of those started.

I have digital pics to send to several folks. I will check and see whose email addresses I have. JR, I don't think I have yours, though, and I have several to send to you. I will also be sending some to Sherrena, Dee, Robin, MaryAnn and anyone else who was at the ornament exchange (I will have to check the photo and go down the list!). That probably won't happen until the weekend, however, as I doubt I will have time before then.

Came back to craziness at work. They were so happy to see me back. I'd rather be on the ship, still, though :( .

Hi everyone,
Welcome home. It was so nice meeting everyone and so hard to say good bye. We had a great time and was sad when it ended but nice to also be back home.

Our flight yesterday seemed to take forever....getting up at 6:30, breakfast at 7:00 off the ship by 8:00 and wait till 2:00 for first flight...than fly for 90 minutes than lay over for 4 hrs( flight that was delayed) than fly 5 more hrs...and YES it was a long day.

Got home as you did and opened the presents and read all my christmas cards about 30 of them(I love getting Christmas cards).

had about 280 e-mails to weed through than went to bed.

Thanks for all your cards and presents in our stocking... it made my day each and everyday that I had something new and it made my Christmas extra special while being away from home...

I look forward to chatting on this thread with all of you know still and know that we have met it will be even more fun...

Happy New year to all of you!!!!
