12/16/06 10-day holiday cruise Part 3

Lots to do today...going to try and put up christmas tree today...also any ideas on what to buy kids for christmas and Birthday that have it all...$$ is good but they love to open gifts..

hmmm... what kinds of things/stuff are said kids into? do they like sports? being outside? video games? board games? electronics? music? movies? i will help think of something!

ooo i want to put up our trees! hehe. i'm listening to the new christmas cds i spent most of yesterday making. i have a 6 cd changer in my car so i can make 6 cds worth of songs. a little easier to whittle it down to 6 instead of 1.

Morning/afternoon all another hot day here...
George should hook up with My son Branden(13 in Jan) and Susans son Nick(14)...they have been chatting...They seem to have hit it off well.

If he signs back on, maybe you can tell him how to connect with those two. That would be great. If the kids have friends on the ship it makes the vacation so much better (for all of us)!

haha i know how you feel. i used to have to share a room with one of my sisters. now it is 100% mine! and it's great, i love it!

Hi girls!

Just checking in, lots of posts this morning, but all while I was out. I brought some stuff home and now have to go grocery shop. NOT my favorite chore, but seems to be necessary....

I'm making due with the swimsuits I had...they're new to you guys, right?

Kat, I can't believe you're already laying stuff out--you're SO organized! I've been tempted to set aside boys swimsuits,etc as I have come across them, but feel like I need to keep house "pretty" until after MIL leaves after Thanksgiving. Then let the cruise planning begin full out!!!!

I did figure out what to do about my ornament, though, and it will tie in well to her visit. So it isn't a totally bad thing!

Hi girls!

Just checking in, lots of posts this morning, but all while I was out. I brought some stuff home and now have to go grocery shop. NOT my favorite chore, but seems to be necessary....

I'm making due with the swimsuits I had...they're new to you guys, right?

ooo i love grocery shopping. my mom hates it. so she decided that she should make a list, give me money and i'll go do it for her. but yeah, that has yet to happen. hehe, so we live from meal to meal.

yeah i won't be packing until the week before. although, i doubt at this point anything i'd be packing (clothes wise) would be used between now and then. as it is finally starting to cool off. however i do believe it's going to be in the 60s again this week... yay!

Sherrena, yes, I am terminally organized! It looks like DB is not going to be here before we leave so I started to stack piles of DDs clothes on the bed in there this morning. Good thing I did because the shorts she has just aren't going to go with the shirts! Have to do something about that, I think!

Will do so. May have to have them schedual a time to meet in the Teen thread so they can chat in there...We are on the West coast so just about anytime after 4:00 our time cause he gets home at about that time...Tuesdays after 3 are good also because he gets home early that day. He is up till about 9:30 our time so we will have to schedual around your times....Maybe they can meet today/tonight...what time your time is good? I will tell him to first come in here and then they can transfere over to the Teen thread,

yes i did go to work. but at lunch time there isn't much for me to do. so i go sit at my mom's office. and sometimes (like today) i play on the computer. was looking up disney stuff. we need to figure out where we want to eat at disney in 2 weeks. and i was trying to figure out what all i need to get before the cruise! so i'm at 'lunch' for a few more minutes.

most of what i own goes with just about anything else. i'm going to make my mom really happy and bring both pairs of my board shorts and live in them. she hates them. she calls them my 'boy' shorts. i thought she would change her opinion with the bright pink ones. but no, she hates them just as much as my crazy ones

My problem is not with matching...mine is with fitting. Branden has grown soooo much just in the last 2 months. He is over 5"7 and weighs about 145 lbs. His shorts and shirts are already getting to small and I bought them way big so they would last till summer. Have to by him new shirts they are at least $ 20.00 a piece and hope his suits fit...bought him 5 large so they would fit but they may be to small already. They live in there suits all day in there swim suits untill night than in pants for dinner than in reg shorts for after...If they decide to change after dinner....

I love to grocery shop too - hate to clothes shop too depressing. But I am an avid consumer or food stuffs.

I will pack after thanksgiving. Makes it seem so much closer and if i start know I'll pack and unpack 100s of times

Nick is good most early evenings but we don't get home most days until 5 - 5:30 west coast time
