12/16/06 10-day holiday cruise Part 3

morning Kat...i got a long afternoon siesta yesterday so i'm still awake and kicking lol

it's technically still night for me lol

mmm. I woke up an hour before my alarm with a sinus headache and unable to breathe. Yuck. Then I couldn't get back to sleep. So I decided to catch up on email and the DIS. What I really need to catch up on is bills but that's no fun.

So instead I play with my signature and then check my coins. I just rolled another $10.50 in coins to put in the vacation account. Looks like another trip to the bank today. I have put away a nice little bit for spending money for the cruise that way! Between that, my Disney Visa reward dollars and onboard credits and my DM giving us a little bit of Christmas cash I don't think we will have any out of pocket expenses onboard the ship!

Samantha was asking me last night if she was going to be able to use her KTTW card to buy things on the ship! She also wants sign-out privileges. I'm not sure the two go together! the idea of a 10 year old with free reign on the account and loose on the ship scares me! All I need for her is to start buying arcade cards or something. That is something we will have to set down VERY strict rules for and make them very clear at the beginning and if they are broken even once, she loses them.

Well, I am off to wake the little one, get ready for work, etc. I may be back before I head to work if I can get her moving. Otherwise I am sure I will be back while I am at work!

the first disney cruise it rained alot...lol...my dad and my sister and i spent alot time in that arcade on the snowboarding simulators lol...

Poor kid, she seems to have gotten hit with the stomach bug that has been going around. She was sick on Monday, went to school on Tuesday, stayed home yesterday and still isn't feeling good today. DH has class this afternoon so he will stay with her this morning and then I will come home at lunch and stay home with her this afternoon. Guess that will give me a chance to get the Halloween decorations out of the front yard! And time to catch up on the bills!

I think I have finally finished my door sign. It isn't exactly what I wanted to do, but I am tired of playing with it.

Morning guys! You're probably gone now. I left my Dis on all night--just reduced it and forgot to close it! Of course, my last post was pages back, so nobody probably noticed. I came on this morning and was like 6 pages behind...so relieved it was the kids chatting--was I afraid I missed something important!

I ROCKED yesterday...don't know whether it was the early morning jolt at the Dr. or the Starbucks Christmas coffee I had after, or maybe just panic, but I just got so much done! (Including bills, paperwork, forms that need filed with insurance for the many appointments everyone has had this week, etc.) I'm hoping to do the same today, and then I might feel like I am not drowning here!

Two kids out the door, one in the shower, hmmmm....what else can I accomplish before he goes.....

Morning Sherrena! I am hoping to be able to accomplish things like that this afternoon. I will be home with sick daughter so I will have a chance to catch up on stuff like that though I know my computer will be calling me too! Plus I'd really like to start packing but I know DH would freak out. I think I will try to start right after Thanksgiving, though. I don't think that would be too soon, even for him!

You know, having a sick child is sometimes a real boon to productivity...it FORCES you to stay home, and they don't need much attention...just drinks, a blanket and the TV!

Joanie, most of my signs are either 8x10 or 5x7. You can either print them directly onto magnetic sheets with an inkjet printer or print them onto paper and then use laminating sheets or the wonderful laminating pockets like the ones I found at Wal-Mart and then put magnetic strips on the back.

Did I send you one of the signs I designed that many of the people in our group are using? It has a blue background with the picture from the t-shirts and your DIS name at the bottom?

Yeah, we got her a computer for her 9th birthday and it is in her room. She has a program that plays DVD's so when she is sick we let her play movies. No television in her room, though, and no movies when she is being punished or supposed to be doing homework, etc.
