Yes I bring my Walkie talkies
I give my memorie card to the Photo people on the ship and they download it and give it back..not that expensive. I dont have them develop the pictures just download on a disk.
I dont bring a Pillow case I bring a Photo Mat and give it to the desk for all to sign than pick up the night before we debark.
I take about 150-200 pictures easy..lol click click on a long cruise as this.
We also take advantage of as many photo pictures as possible that DCL takes and than decide which ones we want to buy or not...but they are fun to have taken and look at. Every year we purchase an 8x10 of there professional(sp) photos.

anything else? popcorn::

i bet i will take no less than 400....my SD card is 1 GB and i use the camera for both land and sea pics (it is meant for diving)...so between all the diving (around 75 pics per dive)...and the cruise..that's alot! lol...but since i have a 1GB..i don't have to worry about my card getting full...plus i'm bringing my computer anyway...so if it did i'd just download them onto my hard drive

So what is the best Mexican restaurant in Atlanta, since we go so often? Hendersonville is a very nice area, little more laid back than Asheville.

What a yummy question!

We change our mind. There are several El Portons in town, and the one nearest us is pretty good. We also go to a place called La Cazuela a lot--also close by. Both of those are pretty inexpensive, basic... There's a place down in Dunwoody with a Mariachi band and great food... Wish I could remember the name--I could draw you a map!

For upscale, Nava....in Buckhead. I don't know if it qualifies as Mexican, but it is Southwestern.

OK, now my chicken enchiladas aren't sounding as good! :sad2:

all this talk of food makes me hungry lol..making hot pockets...

Okay so as of today I have pd off the cruise, WDW,WDW food package,Airflight and lots of cash to take and $$ for the animals, and $$ to cover bills for 2 weeks gone!!!! All paid for without a single credit card..
"Yea Me" :cool1: :cool1: "Yea DH" :cool1: :cool1:

Dh is so happy that the pressure is off... :teeth: Started saving about 13 months ago...Than I told him...

know i'ts time to start saving for next cruise for 2008..... :rotfl2:

He just  those eyes....I said well if it's alaska you want to do that right...he said "By the time Disney has a ship to Alaska, Alaska would have melted"

Robin popcorn:: pirate: ARRRRRRRR

Yea Kat!

I hadn't been brave enough to try the ticker at the bottom, but after I read your advice I gave it a shot. I'm counting down too.....

Hi Robin

Does anyone know anything about Citi Bank and their mortgage system?? I think it runs through Pimerica??? They are saying they can save me 1170.00 a months while combining my mortgage and line of credit. Any one have any experience with them?? I am a bit leary.

Robin is it you that sells Mary Kay???

My first day at work was emotionally exhausting. Everyone asks way to many questions. By the time person #5 came around I was wearing a "crusty hat" and was thinking "why are these people so g......d..... nosy?" I ended up saying "I am fine, I am glad I am back, and thanks for asking".

The paperwork is BORING. For the next 2 weeks I go three times a week for 2 hours and then it increases to 4 hours 3 times a week until I am off on holidays on December 1. Thankfully they have still been paying me as if I have been there full time since I have been off in May. No clue where i will be in January. That is likely going to drive me insane while i am on holidays.

Robin good for you with paying off the trip. I was hopeful that I could swing that but not quiete there yet.

What a beautiful day we had here today - I even got out for a walk.

Hey Jen - how's it going?

Denise

as it stands right now...the Magic nor the Wonder are built for cold water and ice. Summer or not they are not built to deal with cold water. That was a concern with the pacific cruises that the cold pacific water would affect the ship structurally. It all has to to with allowances and engineering...if you are intersted in hearing about that PM me...

there is most likely going to be a 10 day in 2008...

i would love to say things were looking better but i would be lying to myself

Hi Jen and Kat

I didn't mean to leave anyone out in my previous post.

I bought two over the door shoe thingies today at the dollar store and a bunch of stocking stuffers. One good thing about going back to work is that I am now smuck in the middle of downtown Toronto. Lots of fancy smancy shopping there. So what do I do, I find a dollarama :rotfl2:

Does anyone know how many formal and semi-formal nights there are on this cruise.

i believe 1 formal and 2 semi formals...go to my site and click on onboard...the navigators should tell you for sure

Hi Jen

Do people ever wear the same dress twice for formal and/or semi formal night.I do have 3 dresses but did wonder about that.

What are you doing for Halloween??? My dd 8 is upset because every night a squirrel seems to come and continue to nibble at her carved pumpkin. DH has gone out now to buy another one.

Are they having any Halloween Parties at the college??? Those can be a lot of fun.

All that yummy chocolate was on sale today and I bought lots - I had said I wouldn't and now have more then I will need tomorrow night. Maybe I will have to bring some on the cruise and share all those calories with my new friends?!! :goodvibes

Denise

its hard to tell...lol...they are 90% black so they all kinda look alike. I don't. I have 3 different dresses. NCIS is on tomorrow at 8pm on CBS...new episode so i will be watching that. i'm sure they have parties and i'm sure they all include alcohol. i can't drink so i won't even bother.

Oh Nava, been there many times. Any of the Buckhead Life restaurants are great. I love to hear about local, hole in the wall places. Locals always know the best places. Now I want Mexican. We should try to get a group together that wants to walk or work out at the gym every morning of the cruise, so we can eat more  I'm hoping to get to your area pretty soon to shop at Lenox for cruise wear, the Asheville Mall just doesn't cut it. At just 3 hours away, Atlanta is a great getaway place.
Shelly

i can drive to Roanoke or Charlotte or Raliegh to shop...i don't though

The place in Dunwoody is such a hole-in-the wall (but not yucky!) There's also a new place in downtown Alpharetta--can't remember it's name either--owned by the people that own VanGoghs in Roswell--do you know Van Goghs?

I'm sure in town there are a bunch of great holes in the wall but we suburbanites don't know them...the holes in the wall I know of are WAYyyyy out here where I live. Alpharetta/Cumming area.

I also rarely get to Lenox/Phipps. I swear I got there more when I lived out of town. I'm usually in a hurry and go to the places near me. I'm probably not buying a lot of new stuff for cruise...we'll see.
