OMG, it's cold here!! I just took the dog out for a walk, nearly froze my butt off. 92 on sunday and today it's only going to get up to 71! Time to get out the parka.

You're funny! Right now it is 32 with a wind chill of 25 here in Indiana and all I wore today was my Mickey varsity jacket. My Dad lives in Georgia and he won't go north after Labor Day anymore. Mind you, I don't like winter further north. I have lived in Milwaukee, St. Paul and New Hampshire and I grew up in western Massachusetts, so this is just fine with me.

Yep, a little frost on the pumpkin here in New England too!!! Foliage is peaking though and it is quite lovely here right now.

Hard to tell if our foliage is peaking or not as most of the leaves have fallen off the trees already! We had lots of rain and wind last week so the leaves are down all over the place. They don't call it fall for nothing around here, that's for sure!

Yea, we had a pretty nasty storm Saturday, I think. Fortunately, there was still a good amount that needed to peak, so te wind didn't take everything down. We are having a late foliage (warmer than usual Autumn) this year.

Well, I ordered Julia's costume last week and this morning I got an "order cancelled" notification. Now I am scrambling to find what she wants and alot of sites are sold out. One sight in California wanted $96 for shipping 2 day air . Highway robbery, I tell ya

$96!!!???!! I'd say! What does she want to be? Can you find it at any of the specialty Halloween stores around there? I'd think you'd have more of those than we do.

We use to live in Maryland and when it snowed it was gone pretty quickly. (most years) So we had the nice snowfall but not the nightmares of having to drive in it. Soooo.... we move to MA. OMG, snow snow and more snow and to top it off we lived at the bottom of a hill. If we wanted to use our cars before the snow plow showed up we had to park at the top of our driveway. Sooooooo glad to we moved to Florida after one year. I do miss the seasons though.

Hello all,
OUCH to the flu shot and the cold!!!! I hate the cold, grew up in NJ and don't miss the cold. When I take the kids to the snow here(40 minutes away in the mountains) I can leave all the cold and snow behind. I love the snow hate the cold.

I do miss the fall however...we have fall her but not as dramatic and not many trees like the Maples and oaks out her to change color

AHHH nothing like the Caribbean in the winter. Those of you with the real cold winters will love the warm weather more than the folks like us who live in Florida or SanDiego.

Darn I need to wash my floors today... I hate cleaning but I sure love the feel of a clean house!!!

Mary Ann, our local Target still had some ninja costumes the other day. I haven't even looked at any of the specialty Halloween stores as we got Sam's costume early and Dave and I aren't getting costumes. Let me know if you can't find one, I can look out here and send it to you if I find one. I have to go out by Target tonight while Sam is at Tae Kwan Do to exchange a shirt I bought for her, Dave wants me to get a larger one so she can wear it for a longer time. I got the shirt at K-Mart but Target is just down the street.

Ug, did that yesterday. Had to clean the grout. Spent the whole day scrubbing. But man I love how pretty it is now. I just wish I could keep everyone off of it.
