12/16/06 10-day holiday cruise Part 3

Okay...who here has made a door sign and who like me is attempting to make there first one? I have been searching the threads and found some great links. Jen, sorry for some reason I thought that you had made one before.

I want to decorate our door with lots of Disney x-mas characters for the boys so they will feel like there room is decorated like our house.
We go all out at our home inside and out for Christmas with decorations all the way down to the bed linens. Will also be hanging lights in our room. And anything else I can thinkl of to make it festive..anyone have any cool ideas that you are doing....share please!

Hey we are in Washington too! We had a pre-cruise meet with Dee and Keith and had a lot of fun. Maybe if you are close we can meet before the cruise.

I got a super cute little red dress for the cruise at Ross. Ok so maybe not as little as I would like but littler than it would have had to have been at the beginning of this year. The best part $13.

It is a sign that fits around your cabin number with your family name or dis name. I have the template from the creator if you are interested. I think she did it on power point for some reason but doesn't have to be.

Gotta love those kinda little red dresses...I'm looking for one also...in that kind-a- little size....more like a little bigger little red dress...lol...

Just the one strand white lights...I checked with DCL and they said no problem...I'am going to hang them thith the pull away tape clips so they don't hurt the walls.

Do you have a link for me to check out that sign...can't picture it?

Robin - You have been posting like crazy. You just joined here a couple of weeks ago right? I noticed you are already at 170 posts. I am so glad I am not alone in this Christmas Cruise obsession!

I had alot of posts when I was asking lots of questions about WDW and ressies and things. Also like to post on other DIS boards but this one is my favorite obsession...lol

Thanks for the hello's and info everybody.This does seem like a pretty active thread. Thats great.Took a while to get caught up on the replies since I first posted this am.

Dee47 and Fabulusk- We live in Mount Vernon, I work in the Everett area. Sounds like fun to maybe all meetup before we go.

do you have photoshop? i could probably get it to bend with photoshop if you wanted me to try

I use Adobe photoshop to make my signs and they have an option to arch the text. I was trying to put my pictures out so you guys could see them but I can't do it right now. Oh well. I have several pirates ones, tinkerbell, and then I made small magnets using the Mickey color samples from Home Depot. I will attach ribbons to those to make them look like balloons!

I have a little strand of battery operated lights I am going to hang with the 3m hangers as well. I also have stockings I made that I will hang with the removable 3m hooks and a wonderfull gel-cling Christmas tree that I am going to put on the mirror in our room (that way we will have a tree without taking up space in the room, presents will go in the stockings and not take up space either). I also have some Tinkerbell ornaments I got on clearance from Disney last year that I will hang in the room. I will likely find some Disney decorations in the ship's store and maybe something on one of the islands too, but don't want to go too crazy, need space in the luggage for clothes and souvenirs to bring home!

i'm sure someone on these boards can give you an exact diameter...but i'm going to guess the diameter of the door number is 4-5 inches
