12/14/2008 4 Night Wonder

At least it's FRIDAY!!! And only a 3 day work week next week! And then I'm on vacation for a week. And then I work a week. And then I'm on a CRUISE!!!! Tough life, huh?

I'm lucky, I picked our rooms when we signed up for this cruise. I can't cruise without a varandah!:thumbsup2 We are in 5122 and parents are in 5622.
As we don't have children, we are opting out of the F.E. exchange, but it sounds like fun.
I only have 13 more working days left before vacation and two of them are possible 1/2 days.
My DH found out he has a quick business trip, so I had to undo some of the packing I had already done so I could pack for his solo trip first. I'm not a flyer, so now I'm panacking about his safety. He is flying into California, so I'm worried about earthquakes... there's not an earthquake season is there???:rotfl2: Hey, If he can ground me from riding my horse before vacation (fear of me breaking something) I can worry about him flying into a shaky state!:lmao:
I'm also doing the same for my parents... Don't get sick, Don't fall, Don't walk with a steak knife, run with scissors, ride your scooter to the quickie-mart, go down the stairs, fry anything, shower unsupervised... you get the point!:rotfl: It's all about safety before the cruise!!!!!:goodvibes
Let's get these last weeks done quickly and safely. Lets see who gets to do the doc dance first (I hope it's me:goodvibes )

Right now I think CA has fire season right? It's good to be safe. I really don't like that I have to fly next week, but it's to go home to PA to see mom so I have to and I want to and it will be fine. :hippie:
We're not joining FE either--no kids and traveling with other adults, but I am looking forward to meeting my dis buds too. We do know we'll have a verandah--just don't know where yet--oh the suspense!!!

No Docs here either! Although the mailman has not been through yet :)
Im still dancing away since today we are onto 19 days away from our vacation :)
YAHOOO!
:dance3:

Hi just recieved our doc's an hour ago, soooooooooooooo excited  like my daughter said earlier in the meet, this will be our tenth dcl cruise, the last 2 being on the Magic. Will enjoy seeing the new Toy Story show on board, last time on the Wonder was 2006. This will be a change for my daughter now that she is 18. She will surely miss the STACK!. DD met lots of friends there, and they still keep in touch, DD also has a video on you tube from last trip 2007 "Disney Magic Spring Break Cruise " Are there any college kids going? My DD is now a freshman at "FSU" "GO NOLES". :cheer2:

Congrats on getting the docs!!! Is it my imagination or are there a couple of Lindas in this group? We traveled with a 20 year old on our last cruise and thought he might have a problem meeting people but the kids that age seem to find each other. He had a great time even without The Stack.

received the documents today:banana:   via fedex. i'm from canada, so if it got all the way up here, you should get yours soon:dance3:

We got them today too! We are in 5144!!! Right down the hall I think. I'm just a little bummed because I think the verandah is solid instead of see thru. Oh well I'll survive. I like Deck 5 I can go to the late movie in my jammies and then run to bed!!!:goodvibes

Hello neighbor! You are right down the hall from us. We are the first room on the right!
I like the idea of the late movie. On our 7 day, it took us three tries to see the same movie! We just saw Bolt-3D yesterday. As they were showing the previews I kept saying "Ooh, I wonder if they will show that on the boat! Oh, maybe the'll show that one!" I got :rolleyes1 from DH!

Congrats to those who got their Docs. Here's a dance for you!
  :cool1: :dance3:

Hello To my fellow Canadian Cruiser :)

It's getting more exciting every day!
Today we started decorating oh and went to Epcot for a while. They are already decorated and looking good. So has some kind of informal meet been set up for some time. I mean I know we all have our own things to do but I would really love to meet up and say "hi" to you all! Well you all know what cabin I'm in anyway! Now Watching The Santa Claus and getting into the spirit!!!:santa: :santa:

Congrats to everyone who has received documents. I know many of you were waiting for staterrom assignments and are pleased to finally have a nesting place:rotfl2:

The girls and I are in San Diego for Thanksgiving week. If the documents come early this week, DH can bring them down to me on Wednesday! We'll be home for only 10 days before we leave for Florida, so I won't unpack, just add to it:rotfl:

I'll PM the FE roster today or tomorrow. It's not long at all. It will be very easy and thank you so much for those who are participating. I know the kids will be absolutely thrilled.

If I don't get back up here, everybody have a fantastic Thanksgiving!!!

Linda

3 day week coming up -- I'm exhausted from tree decorating but at least that's done since we'll be away so much in the coming weeks. Just wanted to also wish every a Happy Thanksgiving.

I can't believe you only have 21 days until your cruise. :woohoo: I'm so jealous, My group has 11 months 3 weeks to go. We all would like to wish you a happy and safe Thanksgiving. I'm counting down with you.:worship:

Doing the Doc Dance!
Almost missed it. They put it on top of a box we had sitting in the carport. The box was on it's way to the dump! Thankfully, DH spotted it.

My mother got a call from UPS at 6:30 this morning for directions to her house. Mind you, they live on a main road and it is NOT the first time UPS has delivered to their house. When I called her just after 7 p.m. they had not arrived. If I have to go to the hub to pick it up, I'm gonna be really ticked!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Hope everybody has a safe and happy holiday!

My daughter and I got our stateroom # too, it's 2039. This is a first cruise for both of us. She just got home from spending 9 months is Australia, so we're looking forward to this vacation to relax and catch up (and Linda/adnil530, she DID pick up an AUS newspaper for you!).

Even though our stateroom is low and inside, we are both thrilled to be on a Disney cruise! It appears our room is under the clubs on deck 3, so I hope it won't be too noisy. I may bring my white noise machine just in case.

We decided not to do the fish extenders since there are no kids with us, but we look forward to meeting our fellow cruisers! :cool1:

Hooray for everybody getting their docs....it will be here before you know it!

Pam I Am; Boy, now I feel I rate. Thank you two so much. I look forward to meeting the both of you. We will be in stateroom 7556.

TA called today and our documents came in this afternoon. I had DH run down the hill and pick them up before they disappeared!:rotfl:

How's the weather holding up OKW93? Bet you're glad to get your decorating out of the way. I'm sorta glad we will be away this year. It took almost 2 weeks to get all the Halloween stuff down and put away. There have been a few years in the past where we put the Christmas Decorations up 2 weeks before Christmas. We use to try to wait until after our daughter's birthday on the 12th of December. Now a days, it is get them up when you can and as early after Thanksgiving as possible.
