Well since we just changed the picture limit to 20 :)
I think I will post them right here in this thread!

GRRR!! DW took a bunch of the photos I wanted to post to work so I am going to have to do these in kind of out of order groups.. probably won't get the rest up until the weekend

I have put the resolution WAY down on these to keep the load times reasonable. If anyone wants the high-res version for a screensaver or wallpaper email me and I will email it to you!

more more! LOL thanks for the pics Alex. Quick question if you don't mind? How do you change the res of a picture once it is already on your hard drive?

There are a number of different ways. I use a photo editing program, most camera's come with one. If you have window's you can use the paint program.

OK Alex ole pal, I have a pic pulled up in windows paint as I type. I feel as if I have looked at every option available and do not or can not figure out how to change the res. A lil help please?

Try image..then stretch/skew then put the same percentage in vertical and horizonta stretch, if you want the picture to be half as big put in 50%

Here's some more pix from the Dec 13 trip. :wave2:

What beautiful photos, thanks for sharing them. I want to go back right now, I don't want to wait until August!!!

Those are great pictures CanadianCruiser!! Thank you so much for sharing them!

Alex: Great pics. I have a question for you. On the Trunk Bay Beach and Snorkel excursion, how long is the boat ride to St. John. We have several Dis'ers going on this in Feb. Thanks.

Canadian Cruiser: Great pics also.

thanks Alex, & CC

great pictures... We're up next!!! (well, in a week any way!)

Alex~How do you get all the people on the ship to step out of the way when you're taking pictures???:jester:

Canadian Cruiser, great pictures! I am on a hunt for a good digital camera, do you mind sharing what camera you were using?

great picutres!! I can't believe I have almost a year to wait again. I was getting "buyers remorse" today when I saw some great deals on another line and figured out I could go on just about two cruises to our one DCL. When I mentioned it to Mike and Jay they just gasped.. these pictures have helped put things back into perspective, now if the year could just pass.....

I second that dzneprincess, Canadian Cruiser, what kind of camera do you have that took those beautiful pictures? I am also in the market for a digital camera.

Thanks everyone for the comments! I was wondering too how Alex got everyone to move out of the way so he could take his great pix! People are pretty polite on Disney Cruises I guess. ;)

Sorry to get back to you guys so late, but you know how Christmas time is. :p I used a Canon S40 4 megapixel camera to take those pictures. I bought it about a year ago just before we went on our Disneyworld vacation, and it comes in very handy for trips!

It's a pretty good camera for photos, and it's packed with a lot of manual features (some I don't even remember how to use!). Like most other digicams, the S40's focus does get fooled sometimes so there are out of focus shots that need to get deleted. I think they have some new Powershot S series cameras out now like the S50. The S40 is a good, solidly built camera that's small enough to carry around with you.

There's a lot of camera folks at www.dpreview.com if you want some more detailed shopping info. I'd recommend a Canon or Sony for most people although Nikon is popular too. I hear the S400 and A70 or 80 are good cameras. The Sony cameras are great too for the most part like the V1 (I think that's the one) and the P series (P92?). It's hard to remember all the model numbers. You do get married to memory sticks though with Sony's so keep that in mind. Most Canon models use commonly available compact flash cards which are pretty cheap nowadays.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention that there's a handy program called irfanview at www.irfanview.com that manipulates photos for you. It has a great resizing feature that preserves some sharpness too. I did some extra sharpening on those photos after shrinking them down as irfanview has a quicky sharpening tool in it. It's not as good as unsharp mask, but it's good in a pinch. Irfanview is nice if you get tired of using Photoshop 7 to tweak things.

Regarding Trunk Bay, the tender we were on took us directly from the ship to St. John in about 30-40 minutes I think since we were running late. I'm not sure if this is normal practice though since I heard someone mention that they thought the tender would take you from Charlotte Amalie to the Red Hook area ferry dock to catch the ferry there.

Hope that helps!

Not sure about Alex, but my DH took alot of pictures when he was up roaming the ship before 6 am. There weren't alot of people out then.

Alex, do you have a picture of the farewell banner in the Atrium when you leave the ship? My shot of it cut off the top. TIA!

But I have a question, it asks which parts you want to install. Do I check all the boxes?
